You have to see this with everyone you know - otherwise, you will be dying to discuss it and will be unable to do so without ruining it. The movie has an unimpressive start - seems like it will be disjointed and sort of "artsy" - but it soon rockets off into an intellectual thrill ride. You will be thinking and talking about this movie for a LONG time. You will also go home and create a totem for yourself.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Lots of fun

The movie was funny and great for the whole family - my 4 1/2 year old loved it, as did my 65 year old dad. Violence was minimal; overall "moral lesson" was strong; story was easy to follow. The voices were great and it was a really funny movie. The minions - whom my son refers to as "the yellow guys" - are hysterical. Very well done; I would actually pay to see it again and plan to purchase the DVD.
