Everybody wants to harp on what a bad storyline, but this is not the type of movie you go see for the storyline. You go see it for the humor and the non-stop action which is what exactly this movie provides. Great movie in my opinion. I am glad i saw it in Imax and I will be seeing it again.

Didn't bother looking at any of the review wanted to make up my own mind. Loved the effect in I Max was well worth the price and the story was very action packed and had a much more expressed tone then the first one, Still very good film from Bay and would very much recommend this film to anyone looking for great action and lots of fun in a movie.

I went to see this at IMAX and really enjoyed the picture quality and experience. The movie seemed to be about the same acting quality as the last movie. I thought the IMAX was a little loud during some of the robot fight scenes due to the high pitched noises used during the movie, but that is a small complaint for a great time.

Forget the bad reviews of this movie... it’s exactly what it should be... action-packed, special effects insanity… and overly done slow-motion... but hey, it’s a spectacle, and that’s the point. Megan fox said in an ent. weekly interview, "It's not trying to be a Golden Globe-nominated film. It's a bada$$ popcorn summer movie" and that says it. But a little credit is due. In all that exploding, spinning, and screaming is the familiarity of shia & family, bumblebee, tuturro and the army guys, which brings character identification and comic relief. The laughter and applause of the audience in the midst of the excitement made it all the better. A thoroughly entertaining action-packed joyride overall, well worth the time and price of admission.

I cannot believe the adult language and humor displayed by this film. This movie seemed to be as much about Sam and his woman arguing and saying "I love you" as the Transformers themselves. Devastator is a joke form of what he used to be, he didn't speak, he combined without an order from Megatron, and his exposure was short. The matrix of leadership was a total different design and was not inside Optimus’ chest, and Megatron had a master, the Fallen. The only time in Transformer history where Megatron had a master was when Unicron turned him into Galvatron. Bay and Spielberg need to forget about sponsorship by Chevy and love stories and focus on relating to the actual storyline and vehicle forms of the original Transformers.

I am not sure why all the critics hate on Bay. There will be plenty of movies that come out that the Academy will love, but why do you insist on beating up on pure enjoyment. You can tell this movie was made with one genre in mind, the fans of the series from the 80's. I grew up on these guys and seeing old favorites come back in a new way is fun and exciting. Plus, the fight scene in the forest presented in IMAX was one of my favorite movie moments of all time. It was STUNNING! Even the climax was great. How often to final fight scenes really last as long as you want them to? Hardly ever. So if you are a fan of the Transformers and enjoy 2hr 30m of pure excitement then you MUST see this movie. And if you can, try to see it in IMAX. WOW!

Considering all the violence (expected) and profane language (unexpected), I would only recommend this for adults and children parents deem mature enough for that content. The movie lost a star from me due to its incessant, juvenile body humor and overdone adult themes. As I've read in other reviews, the move would be better if it was cleaned up enough for a PG rating (which means something completely different today than it did when the G1 movie came out!).

Transformers was so awesome with all the special effects, comedy and action. As a parent the profanity in the movie isn't any different than what you here in music or on television. Anyone downing the movie because of that is just being simple. The movie was two hours long, I had to use the bathroom but held it because I didn't want to miss anything, it was worth it.

lets get this straight. as a story with legit plot elements and solid eye towards continuity this movie is a no go.

I was a little disappointed with this movie. The special effects and music/sound were awesome and the story line good. But there were a few not-so-good things. It could have been shortened to 2 hours without cutting out anything important. The big final battle went on and on, and as much as I love the action, it got to the point where we were asking if it was ever going to end. Also the profanity was completely unneccesary. The transformers didn't swear in the first one, why did they add it in this one? And one more minor thing - there wasn't much chemistry between Shia and Megan, their interactions seemed stilted. But overall the movie was still pretty good, just a bit diasappointing compared to the first one.

Transformers: Rise of the Fallen was truly an epic film that absolutely dwarfed the first in terms of action, drama, and all out robo brawls. The most significant, and I must say best part, is that this sequel is definitely geared towards a more mature audience with crude humor. There were moments when the action stopped for periods as characters ran about trying to save the world but overall, the intense battles as Optimus Prime essentially battles the entire decepticon army was fantastic.

I loved the movie, we saw it in the imax theatre and it was worth it! I would say though as a negative for a family, that I thought the adult content was completey unnecessary...they took it further than the last movie for sure! Took my 3 boys on opening night for their end of school treat and BIG MISTAKE. Great movie action-wise but all the profanity throughout the movie was unncessary and inappropriate for the pre-teen set - hence the PG-13 rating! I am no prude but I felt like a bad parent instead of giving my kids a fun treat. I spent more time after the movie reminding them of what they could NOT repeat instead of talking about what they liked about the movie and the sad part is that it would still been a great movie without all of that nonsense in there. We won't be seeing it again on the big screen and probably not buying the DVD unless they do a kid-friendly version. Sorry Michael Bay but you blew it big time! I hope Transformers 3 is more kid-friendly!

I am 7 and a half years old and one of my favorite parts was how the little Decepticon was talking. I also liked finding out Decepticons could turn good. The fight scenes are awesome.

The special effects were awesome. Shia LeBeuf looks hot. That's the best I can say. They could have toned down some of the language. I did not feel chemistry in the love story. At times it was hard to tell the good robots from the bad robots. That's partly because we were sitting two rows from the screen. They did overdo some of the battle sequences. I say the movie is good not great. It's fun if you are looking for a high tech blow-em-up crashing metal movie.

Transformers Revenge of the Fallen: The IMAX Experience . Wow! Not a good wow either. The movie could have been shortened by about an hour. A lot of over acting. Very corny but sometimes humorous. I fell asleep and they were fighting in the desert, I woke up a half hour later AND THEY WERE STILL FIGHTING IN THE DESERT!!! I still dont understand why people clap at a movie screen?? Its not like the director is there!! I understand less people clapping for robots!!!!!

This movie is the epitome of the excesses of the '90's and 2000's. If a ten minute battle is good then a 30 minute battle must be better. The entire movie was just too long. I found myself sitting there saying "get to the stupid pillars, already". At least once that happened, the battle didn't rage for another hour, which is what I thought might happen.
I'm also not a fan of the excessive blur motion used with the robots. I watched on IMAX, sitting half way back in the theater and still could figure out where one robot stop and another started, who was hitting or firing at who. That made the film boring. This could have been a much better film.
