Waaaay better than twilight. I think Taylor Lautner's character really came this time. Jacob and the other werewolves really know how to bring the movie to life. But it was amazing. I recommend you see it!

A must see movie! definetly better than twilight. I have always been on team Edward but i have to say that Jacob stole the show on this one. The producer couldnt pick a better person for this one. He definetly nailed it! Althought the movie was long i still wanted to see more and more. Highly recommened.

I thought it was beautifully done. The acting was wonderful, the visuals were great. It was true to the book. It really brought the pages to life. I really enjoyed it. Not enough action for my husband but he even liked it overall.

I loved the movie and I do believe it is better than the first. It did stay true to the book. I wish it ended differently but only because I cant wait for Eclipse. I do think the music was 10 times better in the first movie. I plan on seeing it again.

This movie is did not live up to the hype. I have read all the books and somehow was still disappointed. I took my husband to see it since he enjoyed the first and hasn't read the books...he thought this one was worse than the first and will not see the 3rd movie.
I enjoyed the movie overall because I am a fan of the books, but other wise I wouldn't recommend this movie.

After reading reviews I thought it was going to be better than the first. There were a few parts that were better, but the whole first half of the movie was so painfully slow we almost walked out. Many people in the audience were laughing (in parts not meant to be funny) because it was so bad and the directing was terrible. Most of the movie is up close facial shots of Edward & Bella just staring. They tried too hard to make them act serious that it became ridiculous. I liked the books but wait for video on this one! I'm sure Eclipse will be better.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Money and time well spent.... The special effects were great! Not a little kid movie!!! The length of the movie is perfect. I can't wait to see it again! The actors seem more intuned with the characters they were playing this time around.

Loved it! The scenes in the movie played out in the movie exactly the same as what I pictured when reading the book. I don't usually go see movies in the theater more than once, but this is one that I would see again! Edward and Jacob were so hot!

So, I must have been living under a rock when Twilight came out because I never saw it. However, when the dvd came out my sister had me watch it with her and I was hooked. I read all the books and was anticipating New Moon. And I loved it!! Now don't get me wrong, this movie is for fans. It will probably not appeal to a lot of men or someone looking to see a "great" movie. It stays pretty true to the book and it's a great love story :)

I really enjoyed watching New Moon. I wasn't sure how they would be able to translate the book to screen but they did a fantastic job. The funny bits kept it from getting bogged down and made it more interesting to watch. The plot ties also helped in making a solid story line. I can't waiti till to watch Eclipse. Go Team Edward!!!

i enjoyed the movie.. although it was my least favorite of the books. However, I was appalled at the number of children (under the age of 7) in this movie. It was an 8pm movie too. What is wrong with their parents. When their children wake up in the night with bad dreams or have an aversion to dogs... they can blame themselves. Parents need to think of their children first and not their own selfish wants. Cryin talkin kids in an adult movie are disruptive to those of us who went to a late movie sans children. Good movie. ;-)

New Moon was so much better than Twilight, it's almost ridiculous. Chris Weitz [director] actually knew what he was doing, and had probably actually read the book, unlike Twilight's director Catherine Hardwick. The actors had grown and matured and did a much better job of getting into character, and the lighting/special effects didn't make you want to throw up [unlike Twilight]. They stayed very close to the book's original plot, but any added scenes/bits made it BETTER, and didn't retract from the movie. All in all, I hope to see them do this well in Eclipse and Breaking Dawn, as well. They hype was well deserved.

The acting and most of all the makeup are an improvement from the 1st one. The special effects draw me into the scenes. Every bit as good as the book. I love, love, love it!
The message/theme of pure love runs through it. Though hard & some wrong decisions are made it is all because of the authentic passion to give themselves wholly in the name of the true love embedded in them for the other partner.

I'm glad I fell into the hype and all that, it was fun (the anticipation, standing in the crowd, etc) But, I was not blown away by New Moon as a film. I have read the entire series, like millions of other people, so it was very hard to compare the deep emotionally and morally torn "book" Bella, to the confused and lost looking "movie" Bella - she did not have the acting depth to pull off that fine line and it ruined it for me. I really don't find any of them (Stewart, Lautner, Pattinson) very great actors to start with, this movie was beyond their abilities. I will see the next movies though and just hope for a better effort.

I hadn't read the Twilight Saga, because it just didn't fit into a genre that I'd like. HOWEVER, my 13 yr old LOVES the Saga, and by taking her to see this movie, I finally understand what is going on. I actually feel better about letting her read these books now, because I had previously doubted my decision to let her read them. The movie is okay for what it is, I would have chose something else, but this was for my daughter. I'm glad we saw it together, it was a big bonding moment for us.

New Moon is better than Twilight, but still does not quite live up to the books. It still has too much forced drama, and there was not enough Bella/Jacob time. There is some great humor, but there are several times when the movie is unintentionally funny. I almost felt bad for the actors...Almost. Edward is lacking much of the humor provided in the book to balance his seriousness. Although Robert Pattinson is gorgeous, but Edward is supposed to be beautifully sculpted. He had more of a heroin chic look about him. Taylor Lautner is gorgeous as Jacob, but doesn’t look quite old enough (he’s supposed to look 25). I am glad they brought him back, though.

i really enjoyed watching New Moon. I thought that they did a good job pulling the key things from the book and putting them in the movie. Althought i enjoyed the movie i was disappointed in the relationship between bella and edward. i just wasnt feeling it as much as i was with the relationship between jacob and bella.
