Kristen Stewart was still twitchy, which makes the movie hard to watch at times, but she was MUCH better than in Twilight. If you can get past the dialogue, the movie is pretty entertaining!

Scenes that didn’t occur in the book weren’t a drawback. I enjoyed seeing more of the story. Stephenie may not have written those scenes but Chris Weitz said he asked her to approve all differences. She did as did I. I felt the actors did a great job! There were 2 scenes in which I was actually disappointed though. The 1st: Kristen's screaming while in bed. It seemed to me that it was over the top & sounded fake. I wish that would have been picked up on by actor & director. The 2nd: Edward's proposal. I feel Chris should’ve directed Rob to show more emotion. It seemed the words were spoken but not felt. I did love the movie. I remain a truly loyal fan of The Twilight Saga & will continue to be very faithful to Team Bella & Team Stephenie!

This movie has great Special affects, sweet story line, way cool new characters added from the first one. It was an awesome show, I would recommend this movie to anyone....And Highly recommend it to those of you that have seen Twilight and loved that. All around I loved the movie and can't wait for the next one.

Not great. Poorly directed, I think. Some of the scenes that were supposed to be so powerful between characters, was completely flat. No dynamic. No passion. It's like the movie was all about leading up to Jacob and Edward shirtless. And really, what were they thinking putting Alice in that dowdy outfit with the buttons? And her hair?? I can deal with the omission of scenes but can't stand the addition of things that didn't happen (Bella punching Paul, anyone?) A disappointment after all the wait and hype... but I WILL watch it again. I loved the (very) brief Volturi scene and the chase scene with Victoria.

Given the difficulty with bringing a book to screen without some changes I think Chris Weitz and crew did a tremendous job. All of the crucial scenes were there even if they weren't in the exact place they should be. The special effects, makeup, and all around look of the movie was magnificent! I know they had a bigger budget but I can't help but wish the first film had been done so well.

New Moon was not my favorite of the four book Twilight series - but - the movie hit all the key points and left out the nonessentials. I cannot wait for the DVD to come out!

The book New Moon is 576 pages, yet I am only allowed 750 characters to review this movie. If space allowed, I could craft 576 pages detailing how this movie is easily one of the worst movies ever. I understand the demographic this story reaches out to however the plot and suspense obviously were influenced by such stalwart shows such as Save By The Bell or Goose Bumps. I have to congratulate the screenwriter for their promotion from staff writer at the "Weekly Reader" to writer of unfathomable boredom. I’m one of the morons who dropped cash down to watch the abomination Battlefield Earth, but by the time I got to around the eighth minute of New Moon, I discovered staying home and watching my dog sleep is more entertaining then this idiocy.

Meyer is the Jane Austen of our time. She does an excellent job of bringing you in to the story & the characters. The movies fall short. Each book should be two movies. The first movie moved too quickly over the falling in love between Bella & Edward. The second movie doesn't have as many changes from the book but still leaves out quite a bit. If you have not read the book series then it will be hard for you to make the leaps in the relationships. A lot of Bella's character is her wanting to protect and take care of those she loves - ie cooking for her dad every night - those traits which define who she is are left out of the movies. The wigs are HORRIBLE - Jasper, Rosalie & Alice. It seems minor but it the hair is so bad & obviously fake.

I absolutely loved New Moon! The director did an amazing job on it. The ending was the perfect beginning for Eclipse. I loved it so much that I saw it again last night. Again, I think Summit did a great job on choosing this director for this movie.

I went with a group of friends, even guys! and we ALL loved it. It followed the book closely while still leaving some things out probably for time. The Vulturi probably could have been described more but I feel overall it was awesome!

Movie was ok, not up to all the hype. As in the first movie, I thought the actors were not cast correctly. The vampires all have way too much makeup on and look pasty (who in Forks would NOT think they are vampires?!). Bella goes through the movie with her half open eyes and pouty face; smile a little, it's not gonna kill you! Jacob's body was hot, but OMG when Edward took his shirt off at the end? He needs to work out!!!

Catherine Hardwicke did an admirable job with Twilight. It was visually stunning and flowed like a cinematic portrait of an angst-ridden teen girl's diary. The script however left a lot to be desired, which hindered the acting. Chris Weitz manages to combine the visual with the script. I LOVED how New Moon stays mainly to the novel, bringing in minor aspects of the book that some directors might have cut out. I also enjoyed the more subtle script. There are looks and silences between the characters which suggest more depth of emotion than Twilight. Although there were some flaws, some of the scenes dragged a bit, overall I feel that New Moon has truly done Stephanie Meyer's novel justice. TwiHards will definitely be happy with this one.

Being a die hard fan of the books, I did not have high expecations for this film but i was impressed and immensely pleased as soon as i saw the title sequence, Chris Weitz did a superb job of coaxing out whatever talent this cast has and combined with the special effects it turned out to be a very enjoyable movie. I have a love hate relationship with books turned into films, love that the story comes to life across a movie screen hate that the directors or producers never get the adapation right which is what happened with Twilight but New Moon sticks to the storyline of the book and for that I give it my thumbs up.

It was spectacular. Taylor Lautner did such a wonderful job in this movie. I have to admit I've always been for "Team Edward", but I think Taylor may have swayed my opinion. Excellent acting on his part. The special effects with the wolves were excellent too. I think all of them did a wonderful job with their parts. My only disappointment was with Kristen Stewart. I did not think she put the emotion and feeling into this part that it needed in order to really give you an understanding of what Bella was feeling. Overall the movie was wonderful and I will definitely see again. My daughter and I can't wait for it to be on DVD so we can watch it over and over.

This movie was superb. You can tell there is a male director (vs. Twillight's director who was female.) The movie was actually a bit scary at times, which is what it needed to be. It needed to have that tough edge. I agree with the other reviewers who said it was truer to the book than Twillight was as well. Taylor Launtner is awesome as Jacob and Kristen Stewart was great again as Bella. I would have liked to have seen more of the Cullens!

New Moon did not disappoint. The 2nd installment of the twilight saga had a much larger budget and it showed. Great CGI and cinematography in general. This movie stayed much truer to the book which twihards can appreciate. It was definitely a place-holder movie, just as the book was with a big fast-paced plateau that left you with a good cliffhanger ending. I LOVED the movie and feel they will only get better.

I loved the books - LOVED the books. So I was very excited to see the latest installment in the saga. I was disappointed in how this book translated to the screen. The high point, for me, was Taylor Lautner's performance as Jacob. He is perfect in the roll and a great actor for his age. I'm looking forward to seeing his character grow in the 2nd half of the series.
Kristen Stewart's anguish over Edward was also well done - her nightmares were heartbreaking to watch.
Edward, though, was another story. I think Rob is a good actor but his portrayal of Edward is painful to watch! All brooding stares and pained expressions. Someone who has lived over a century should be a lot deeper than Rob's "version" of Edward.

Definitely took a more hopeless romantic approach this turnaround. Not as much action as I would have wanted, too focused on the drama with Bella being lost and depressed and somehow found again. Now and will always be a WOLFPACK fan! Finally a movie with some ethnic diversity...thanks producers for that! Boo to the bloodsuckers. Would recommend to my teen sister, but to a friends I would recommend the $1 Red box Movie Rental!
