Good but not Great

I loved the books - LOVED the books. So I was very excited to see the latest installment in the saga. I was disappointed in how this book translated to the screen. The high point, for me, was Taylor Lautner's performance as Jacob. He is perfect in the roll and a great actor for his age. I'm looking forward to seeing his character grow in the 2nd half of the series.
Kristen Stewart's anguish over Edward was also well done - her nightmares were heartbreaking to watch.
Edward, though, was another story. I think Rob is a good actor but his portrayal of Edward is painful to watch! All brooding stares and pained expressions. Someone who has lived over a century should be a lot deeper than Rob's "version" of Edward.
