Not great. Poorly directed, I think. Some of the scenes that were supposed to be so powerful between characters, was completely flat. No dynamic. No passion. It's like the movie was all about leading up to Jacob and Edward shirtless. And really, what were they thinking putting Alice in that dowdy outfit with the buttons? And her hair?? I can deal with the omission of scenes but can't stand the addition of things that didn't happen (Bella punching Paul, anyone?) A disappointment after all the wait and hype... but I WILL watch it again. I loved the (very) brief Volturi scene and the chase scene with Victoria.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
