I love the Twilight books but couldn't stand the first movie, so I wasn't really expecting much from New Moon. But I was pleasantly surprised - everything from the acting to the special effects was much improved. I really enjoyed this movie and I think everyone else could if they would just give it a chance!

I loved this movie and I think everyone watching did. The whole place was sad when it was over but stood up and clapped at the end. The movie quality was soooo much better than the first and the story line stayed really close to the book. I can't wait until the next!

I was totally astonished! Though not exactly like the book, it did represented everything from the book and then some. If the movie were 5 hours long I would have sat there all the way through it glued to the screen...definitely a must see again.

This movie was better than I ever could have hoped for after reading the book. The colors and the camera angles were unbelievable and put you right there in the scene and set the mood. I couldn't believe what an awesome job Taylor Lautner did as Jacob I can't believe he is just 17 and Robert Pattinson well mmmm! I will definitely see this one again and again.

This was just what I expected...great love story, shirtless Jacob, some corny lines and just an excellent adaptation of the book. I will absolutely be seeing this again. The only downside I would even say is that some of the music was a little over-the-top cheesy. Otherwise, loved it!

Obviously the book is going to be better than the movie however, I think they had an opportunity to make this movie great and they fell short. They stayed true to the book but most scenes were cut short and too much of the books emotion was left out. I enjoyed it but am not too hopeful for Eclipse.
Taylor Lautner did an awesome job as Jacob as well as the other wolves. The Volturi was exactly how I pictured in the book. The vampires not as good as in the first movie.

I went into this movie scared because the first one was so horrendous. Fortunately I was wrong. I thought it was 10x better then the original and I would absolutely go see it again. I'm not sure if it was because of change of director or perhaps the actors took some classes but it lived up the expectations I had for it. I have read all four books and I have to say it stayed pretty close to the book, well as close as a movie can without becoming a book on tape.

I was very happy with how the movie was true to the book. (one MUST understand that some aspects needed to be condensed for times sake, but nothing was changed that was too important.) I feel that there were even a couple of "loose ends" that were detailed that weren't included in the book. The level of depression and inner turmoil that the main characters go through was captured very well. I was very pleased and will see it many times again, I am sure!

I thought this was a fantastic movie. I read the book and thought it moved kinda slow, but the movie was great. I plan to see it again. a couple of the scenes when they were cliff diving looked fake, but overall I think it had good special effects and very yummy men to look at.

Several friends, family & I waited in line three hours for this opening night. It was well worth it. The writer & the director did excellent staying true to the story, everything from actions to lines. The actors did wonderful, Rob & Kristen did a great job showing their emotions when they were apart, I truly felt their sadness. Taylor played an angry werewolf perfectly. Now on to what I wish would have been different/better. I didn’t care for the color of the Cullen’s eyes, they were to gold. Also, there were a few scenes that popped up out of nowhere, like Bella showing up with the bikes, if you have not read the books you might wonder, “Where did the bikes come from?” Overall an excellent movie that I will be going back to see again!

After being terribly disappointed in the first installment, "Twilight", I was hopeful that a new director could save the Saga. They did it! They really did a fabulous job on New Moon. The book's dialogue was not tossed to the side this time - the screenwriter must have realized that Stephenie Meyer wrote those words for a reason - and the editing wasn't so ridiculously choppy as it was in Twilight.
I am SO SO SO pleased with this movie. Of course some things were changed, but I can look past any of those changes (book-to-movie) because they got it right this time. The story flows, the characters make sense, and you can see the relationships that have been built/are being built. Definitely a must see!!!

I just saw New Moon and I loved it. It just has this other level that draws you in even deeper into the charecters. I am not going to pretend that it left me as excited as the first, but it's a sequal. Sequals are there to give you more info so that the writer can leading you (hopefully inthusiastically) in to the next story. I think New Moon did just that.

I don't know if was because of the new director or if the cast is finally feeling comfortable with their roles or both, but New Moon was far better than Twilight. The effects were more realistic and although Bella always seems tortured, she did a better job in this movie. I could almost move to Team Jacob after this movie.
The only critical thing I'd say is that Edward needs to work out a bit - Jacob should not be sexier than Edward!
Great movie, would see it again.

enjoyed the movie very well saw it twice in two days. kept very close to the book. liked the books alot and liked the movie more then if i hadnt. bella was so much better this movie. really enjoyed her performance. wish jane(dakota fanning) was in it a lot more as i loved her part. edward was the same. jacob seemed like he was reading his lines. there are still the long arkward pauses where you're sitting in your seat thinking seriously. but that is the romance. the wolves were awesome and done so well! overall very good movie. will be buying when it comes out on dvd. if you didnt like the first one with the sparkly vamps as you put it then dont see this one either cause they're in this one too and your opinions arent going to change.

This movie was better than expected. I thought New Moon the book was the lamest of all of the books so I was a little concerned that the movie would be too. However, the movie was action packed and the story was well portrayed.

If you have a daughter 8-14 they will love this movie. The moms, probably not so much. The actors don't have the chops for all the melodrama, though the director does a fair job of camouflaging their limitations. Still, this movie lives up to it's marketing. It's exactly what it seems to be, a teen squeal fest. There is no hidden depth, but anyone foolish enough to expect that going in deserves to be disappointed. The high point? - Taylor Lautner's new bod far and away steals the show. Listen for the collective sigh when his shirt comes off. "Team Edward" is going to take a serious hit following this movie. My daughter defected immediately.

This movie was AWESOME! IF you are a true Twilight fan...you will love it! It was true to the book and the special effects were awesome...totally believeable. The morphing from boy to werewolf was perfect! I cannot wait to see it again! I actually didn't think they could make it better than Twilight but this movie surpasses it! CANNOT wait for Eclipse!

Chris Weitz did a much better job of directing this sequel, in my opinion. On the whole, it definitely followed the book a little more and kept more of what I consider to be essential story bits.
The makeup was a little strained in some places but loads better in others, and the glitter turned out more noticeable this time.
Kristen Stewart put slightly more life into her character this time around, which is a relief, as Bella bored me in Twilight. She and Rob claim to have this awesome chemistry but you really didn't pick up on it until now.
The wolf pack was great, but totally deserve more screen time. Whatever animatronic or CG they used for the wolves was almost completely believable.

The movie was great. After seeing Twilight, I decided I should read the books. I have completed all four books. In doing so, there was a lot of detail missing from both movies. Overall, the special effects were very good and I enjoyed this movie very much. What a great love story. I would have liked the end to have had more detail but over all it was very enjoyable.

The crowds were crazy for this one and the audience often ooowed and ahhhhed during the no shirt scenes. They loved it. I thought the movie was entertaining but the special effects were obvious and the story and characters would be hard to figure out if you aren't at least familiar with the first movie but it might be more helpful to read the book before hand. Overall it was fun and entertaining.
