What I don't understand is why Hollywood film makers feel the need to remake these classic movies. First let me say, maybe everyone needs to consider the hiring of new screenwriters/directors, by the looks of it, they are unable to obtain any new story's/movies. This movie was one of the worst remakes I have viewed to date. The actress that played Nancy was....I don't even know what to say about her. The original Nancy was strong, outspoken and a fighter. This Nancy spent most of the movie in her room, painting..really?? The other actors were okay. Robert is the ONLY freddy..PERIOD. He can NEVER be replaced, not sure why they even tried this failed attempt. New Line would have made more money remastering the orignal Movie and re-releasing it on the big screen. I am sad that I wasted my time and money for this film and I am very seriously thinking about writing New Line and asking for a refund. The only reason I went to see it in the first place was because I am a HUGE fan of the original films. If you are a fan like me and really just want to see it, wait for the dvd release, but please please, do not purchase, RENT!
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Really good movie for kids and adults alike. Not the best story line but it kept the kiddo entertained. Over all a cute movie.

Excellent Movie!

Several friends, family & I waited in line three hours for this opening night. It was well worth it. The writer & the director did excellent staying true to the story, everything from actions to lines. The actors did wonderful, Rob & Kristen did a great job showing their emotions when they were apart, I truly felt their sadness. Taylor played an angry werewolf perfectly. Now on to what I wish would have been different/better. I didn’t care for the color of the Cullen’s eyes, they were to gold. Also, there were a few scenes that popped up out of nowhere, like Bella showing up with the bikes, if you have not read the books you might wonder, “Where did the bikes come from?” Overall an excellent movie that I will be going back to see again!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
