I was very happy with how the movie was true to the book. (one MUST understand that some aspects needed to be condensed for times sake, but nothing was changed that was too important.) I feel that there were even a couple of "loose ends" that were detailed that weren't included in the book. The level of depression and inner turmoil that the main characters go through was captured very well. I was very pleased and will see it many times again, I am sure!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
