If you know and love the story, than you won't be disappointed in this movie! The characters and the depth of emotions from the book were all captured beautifully. I immediately purchased a ticket to see it again, which I have never done before. Enjoy!

I took my 11 year old daughter (we've both read all the books) and the movie was great in both of our opinions. It stayed pretty true to the book (or as well as a movie can - it's a long book) and the entire theater cheered at the end. I'm on Team Edward and she's on Team Jacob, but we both loved it :)

for anyone that is into the books this was a dream come true. after the first movie i know i was personally worried about if it would all continue... well it did and yet again the were really authentic to the book. i've been waiting a year for Nov 20th and when it got here i was uber excited.
this movie is totally worth seeing even if the absolute only thing you want to see is the beautiful Jacob shirtless throughout the pic. That alone was worth my $10 LOL.
Oh did I mention...
Go team Jacob!!!!!!!

I thought the movie was decent - not amazing but not bad either. They stayed pretty true to the book, although some parts were left out I don't feel that it ruined the story line. I feel like this was a better and more true adaptation than the original Twilight movie.

If you like the book, this was very true the script in the novel. They did a good job keeping the pace going as the first 200 pages of the book were pretty slow. The special effects of Jacob and his pack changing into wolves was really cool and very realistic. My only critisism is that I am not crazy about all of the people they cast; particularly the Cullen family. Overall I liked the movie and am looking forward to Twilight.

I thought the movie was great. Don't compare it to the book, there is no way you can fit the whole book into a 2 hour movie. The ending left everyone gasping but I thought it was funny. Great movie, well worth the wait.

I must say, the audience I enjoyed this movie with were nearly as fun as the movie itself. Yes, it is a chick flick--and boy, did we chicks love it! True to the book, New Moon was was full of passion and romance. Have to see it again!

For the multitudes upon multitudes of Twilight phenomenon followers, going to see the 2nd theatrical installment is a given; what surprised me is how good it really was (I'm a fan regardless, even if the movie stunk) and how it seemed to just take up where Twilight left off. New Moon sets up Eclipse remarkably well, and now we're wondering however in the world we are going to be able to wait another 11 months and 28 days to see it...

New Moon is not my favorite of the 4 Twilight books. I can't handle the brooding angst of the adolescent doormat Bella. Well the movie delivers the tortured soul of the human Bella, but offers enough character interaction that it's bearable for the audience. I love the characters in the book and the movie brought more life to each one. No one will win an oscar for their performances, however for Twilight fans it is brilliant. I hope the director for Eclipse takes stock in Chris Weitz's movie and expands even more on the characters who were given a little bit more personality and/or introduced in this movie. The ONLY bad thing about this movie is that it ended.

I was really worried about how this movie would turn out, with Twilight the way it was. I am a die hard fan and i cant really watch twilight anymore because of the way it was made. But New Moon WAS SPECTACULAR! Chris Weitz really connected with the books and translated the feelings of the book to the movie. I could be nit picky about a few things, but im not because overall it was amazing! MY FAVORITE MOVIE! And on another note, Kristen Stewart did fantastic in this movie! Her acting ability really showed in this one so much better than in twilight! Overall i give this movie like two thumbs up (and more if i had more)!

New Moon was great, it is the only book turned movie that actually follows the book pretty well. I could have done without all the girls screaming whenever Edward and Jacob came on screen, but it was good. I will totally go see it again. I think I might skip opening weekend for Eclipse because it was a mad house, but I can't wait to see the next installment. This movie was great for the entire family, romance, action and humor. I give it five stars!!!!

This movie was everything Twilight was not. It followed the story with only a couple of completely believeable additions. They added an action scene at the end that was very Matrix-like and cool. The camara work was great. Lots of close-ups that made you feel very close to the characters and the action. There were a few very hokey parts but only a few and they didn't bring the movie down at all. The movie is also much brighter, more vivid and colorful than Twilight. This director didn't feel the need to color everything gray. In fact, they used the meadow scene from Twilight without the gray-out and it was beautiful. It looked like the meadow scene from the book. If you like the book, you'll love this movie!

This was a great movie, it followed the book pretty closely and they were able to bring back all the same actors from the first movie which is always nice. Obviously not as good as the book, but what movie is? I would recommend this movie to others.

This movie was awesome! It followed the book almost precisely and kept the action going. The emotion from the actors could be felt through the screen and everything moved fluidly. I loved it, and even though the ending was a cliff-hanger, I would definitely recommend this movie to anyone! Definitely better than the first movie!

It seemed to have a hard time getting started, little slow in the beginning, and in other parts through-out. This one followed the book pretty much word for word, and since I read the book, I felt like I had already seen the movie....I would pick one, book or movie, it I had it to do over. Bella is just too weird for me, she has NO personality at all, but then Jacob is the only one that even comes close to acting normal. My favorite character is Alice, she is adorable and fun to watch. I am truly hooked on the book series, but I'd have to Pass on this one.

I went with my husband who also enjoyed it (but doesn't really feel comfortable telling everyone that yet). :) It was great. I love the story & acting. The special effects blew the last movie out of the water- thankfully. I plan on going again with my girlfriends. It was just what I was hoping for with this one.

I dragged my husband to this movie, and we both agree that it was much better than Twilight. The acting, special effects, and even makeup were vastly improved.
I did feel like we'd seen some of the best parts in previews, but it didn't ruin the movie. It just added to the drama of telling the story.
While it wasn't the best movie ever made, it was really enjoyable.
I should note, I've read the books (multiple times), so maybe my feelings on the movie would be different from someone who hasn't read the books. My husband hasn't read the books, and he gave it a 7 out of 10, which is good in his book.

I loved it! My son loved it! Awesome effects with the vampires and wolves. Story line was great. Not far off from the book. Actors acting has improved, so have their bodies.
