Better than Twilight

I dragged my husband to this movie, and we both agree that it was much better than Twilight. The acting, special effects, and even makeup were vastly improved.
I did feel like we'd seen some of the best parts in previews, but it didn't ruin the movie. It just added to the drama of telling the story.
While it wasn't the best movie ever made, it was really enjoyable.
I should note, I've read the books (multiple times), so maybe my feelings on the movie would be different from someone who hasn't read the books. My husband hasn't read the books, and he gave it a 7 out of 10, which is good in his book.
