What else can I say. I saw the show 4 times on broadway, plus won tickets to the lottery of the 10th Anniversary performance with the original cast and saw the movie, but this was different. It was up close and you got to see the emotion of the characters and what they were putting into it. It would have been nice to add some interviews, etc. but still loved it. I hope it comes out on DVD.

I have seen this show several times live and had really low expectations of the final show being flmed then showed to a wide audience. Well I was proven so wrong! It was eactly the same feeling. I felt every emotiom I did with every live show, nothing was lost! I took a RENT virgin with me and I can now say they have converted and can't wait to see it Live when it come to our city! Thanks for a great night! 525,600 minutes!

I loved this show. Having seen the production 5 times with various road tours in Louisville and Nashville, I considered not going. But the movie, with all the closeups and awesome sound, was great. Hope it comes out on DVD. Will definitely buy it~!

I have seen Rent 4 times on Broadway and this was a chance to see it one last time, and to share it with my 14 yr old daughter. I thought it was terrific, but I would have like to have seen a little less of the closeups. There is so much going on on-stage that you miss when the camera is focused on one person. I aslo would have liked to have seen some "extras" like interviews with the cast. I especially liked the opportunity to see some of the original cast members on stage at the end!

Rent is symbolic of so much, and the stage version is what started it all. The film version is wonderful, but it's a dream come true to see the stage version "live." The acting was first-rate, the music and book obviously superb, and the shooting was carefully done to preserve the "feel" of the show. Rent is absolutely wonderful, and I'm thankful it's now been released in a form that even more people can see it.

What a well filmed event. The vocal track was incredible - I heard vocal moments I've never heard before. It packed the emotional wallop of being in the theatre live. I wish I could see it again. I REALLY hope that this will be released on DVD (every Renthead I imagine would rush to buy a copy). Please do more of this kind of recording. Thank you.

Only having seen RENT in the theatrical version I did not know what to expect when I saw this version. The performers in the Broadway production were great. I wish I had been able to see the show live in the theater. There were aspects in the stage version that made this like seeing the show for the first time. I really enjoyed the original cast members coming out at the end of the show.I would highly reccomend this film to anyone that has seen the movie version. If this is made available on DVD it is a buy.

With all that's been going on in our country lately, there's no better time for this play. Sadly, it's closed. Crap. However, in fitting tribute, now's the time when an even broader audience will get to see it. I have been a Rent fan since 1996 when its energy and inspiration helped me through my student teaching. And now, as an adult, I'm facing a new mortgage while all around me the banks are folding, a big scary Presidential race, and other terrifying signs of the times. And then I saw this. The bright spot in my year, I'm not going to dance around it. Seeing this play, just like this, just like it was in my face, gave me some hope. Just go. Thank you Jonathan Larsen.

I have seen Rent the Movie, and also the traveling company. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed being able to see the cast so close and with the exception of the teenagers singing behind us, it was thoroughly enjoyable and moving. Then at the end to see so many of the familar faces was fantastic.

I loved re-experiencing RENT through this film. It was really amazing to see how lovingly the show was captured by the directors and editors of this film. It kind of felt like a 3 hour MTV movie but it was a fabulous way to share this event with more than the people in the theatre. I hope they release it on video.

This is one of my favorite musicals, and I was very happy to see the last Broadway performance in the theater, since I couldn't be there in person. I was really pleased with the way the film showed the close-ups of the different cast members. That's not something you get in the theater. I hope that this gets released on DVD, and I also hope that this starts a trend of musical theater from the stage being shown at the movies for those that can't make the trip or afford to go. Perhaps it will also encourage people to go to the theater if they do get the chance, to experience it in person.

I saw the play a number of years ago and although I enjoyed it there were times it was hard to follow. This movie was terrific! I actually wanted to applaud at the end of each solo. I took my "Renthead" daughter to see the movie, and the show on Broadway three times, and I can honestly say that this "live" version was all we hoped it would be and more! It felt like you were right in the theater and I enjoyed seeing some of the original cast at the end. The story's message will live on forever...Thank you Jonathon Larson

I LOVE RENT & I was so excited to see the final performance. I am so happy that it was made available to people outside of NYC but I was sad to see how undersold they were. The Westminster, CO Thurs showing was only 8% sold. We loved being the only one in there so we could sing along at the top of our lungs. All that being said, it was an amazing show and I am glad I got to see it. We could have paid less & just walked in (it was empty) we were happy to pay $20 in Jonathan Larson's honor (his $20 rule served me well). I wish the cuts weren't so fast & there were more master shots of the stage but you saw so much acting that you never get to see in a proscenium staged show. What a GREAT bonus to have the original cast come out & sing!

I'm a big renthead and seeing this movie was a huge highlight for me. The show came alive and it seemed a happy medium between the movie and seeing it live. I hope it comes out on video because I can't wait to see it again.

Being a fan and a performer of musical theatre I thought this was a great movie to see. It's not often people can just drive or fly out to New York City to see a Broadway show. To me the stage production was alot better than the movie from a few years ago. Emotion in live performances can be felt alot more. I laughed and cried harder. This is a must see.

This movie of the last performance on Broadway awesome. This story is my wifes favorite and i have now come to really enjoy it. The actors in that performance were far better than I could have ever imagined. I have seen Rent here in AZ, but it was nothing like this movie I watched last night. i would recommend this movie to anyone that asked me about it.
