With all that's been going on in our country lately, there's no better time for this play. Sadly, it's closed. Crap. However, in fitting tribute, now's the time when an even broader audience will get to see it. I have been a Rent fan since 1996 when its energy and inspiration helped me through my student teaching. And now, as an adult, I'm facing a new mortgage while all around me the banks are folding, a big scary Presidential race, and other terrifying signs of the times. And then I saw this. The bright spot in my year, I'm not going to dance around it. Seeing this play, just like this, just like it was in my face, gave me some hope. Just go.
