I loved this movie. Not only did it become more exciting, there was just as much humor. I loved the "text-book" narcissist part. It was hilarious (; i really liked the ending, where IronMan was trying to get the Commander to leave on the rooftop, but he replied with "I got here first" Overall, i really loved the moviee!!

This totally out does the first Iron Man. Although the final Whiplash battle was short and anti-climactic, the rest of the top notch action and special effects more than make up for it. If you haven't seen this movie, you're missing out big time.

I had the opportunity to see this flick online before the movie was even out in the American theatres. It was a decent film on a MAC (and I love my MAC), but so much cooler in the theatre. Unless you feel your home theatre experience adequately replaces the big screen, the surround sound, and the shared human experience of an audience, do yourself a favor and don't even think of waiting for the DVD.

I saw the billboards around town and decided I would wait for the DVD to come out to watch this movie. I just wasn't interested in another comic book kids movie.

The now overused adjective “brilliant” is an appropriate summary for this movie.
Robert Downey Jr., in the lead role as Tony Stark, fully embraces his narcissism in playful, irreverent fashion in his best role since… well… ever!
Justin Theroux’s screenplay is smart, funny, and laced with double entendre for those paying close attention.
Jon Favreau, who also plays in a supporting role as Happy Hogan, kept the pacing quick and the comedic timing impeccable within this impressive ensemble cast. Robert’s performance was so strong it would have been easy for it to overpower the rest of the cast. But Favreau balances the performances of the rest of this all-star cast beautifully, and snappy editing keeps the viewer engaged to the point that a momentary lapse of attention will have you missing a plot point or one of numerous subtle jokes laced throughout the film.
Sam Rockwell is pleasantly annoying as the lead antagonist. He teams up with Mickey Rourke who plays the super-villain capable of bringing down the unbeatable Iron Man. Both have very personal reasons for wanting Tony Stark and his “I’m the best and I want you to know it” attitude out of the way… permanently.
In addition to Favreau, Downey Jr’s supporting cast includes Don Cheadle, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Scarlett Johansson. All deliver excellent performances, but Johansson is a standout as the understatedly sexy and demure Natalie Rushman that can take out a room full of bad guys with about the same amount of time, energy, and interest it takes me to take out the trash.
Bottom line: If you keep your belief level appropriate for a comic book-based movie, it will deliver 2 solid hours of action packed fun.

A must see on the big screen. Would say it was worth the money. You don't need to stay till after the credits to see the 6 second teaser for sequel #3... its no biggie... not worth the 5 minutes of credits

Iron man 2 was a good movie although not as great as the first. Mickey Rourke's character was underused and the story's focus seemed rather clouded and uncertain which direction it should go. I would recommend seeing it at the movies. The action scenes (what ones there are) are very good, and the CGI is updated from the first iron man.

IM2 was not as funny as IM. I wanted to see more of Mickey Rourke. The action was good but too few and far between. Rockwell was the star, IMO. Still recommend seeing it in the theatre to enjoy the CGI and sound effects.

Just take a look at everyone else that wrote a review about this movie and you know right away it was a good solid entertaining and well acted movie. Its rare to see a decent good action film these days but Iron Man 2 was IRON HOT! I think mainly it is because the cast actually know how to act! Bravo to Robert Downey Jr. Excellent actor. Scarlett was wicked and awesome! A little down time in the beginning but the story line picked up quick after that. Highly recommend watching it on IMAX!

I love this movie, as much as the first one. Robert Downey and Gwyneth paltrow have great chemistry together in the movie. Action packed with comedy, which you can go wrong to see it. However, I found odd and didn't think it was necessary for Scarlett Johansson and Samuel L. Jackson starring this movie. It became kind of drag and boring in some scenes.

I'll start out with the negatives because there isn't many of those. The only thing that was kind of bad about it were those parts that didn't contain action. Other than that it was spectacular. The fighting scenes could have used a bit more. The characters were all good, and so was the explosions that occurred. Basically, this is a must-see movie if you haven't already seen it.

The movie was a well-crafted formula. Although most enjoyed the first, as I did, and did little to question its creation, this one delves a little more into the mind of the character as well as the mind of the villain. More closely resembling the stream of comic book-consciouness, this one bounces around to nemesis, villain, friend, and main character will a little more erradicism. Nonetheless, like said, it keeps to the formula for action. We have to keep in mind that the actors are doing their best with the fact CGI will take over most of the battles. Good overall.

If you liked the first movie, you'll like this one. If you did not like the original, then this sequel will not change your mind. I should have waited for the DVD.
Outside the special effects and the action scenes, the story was not something to write home about.
Best part and acting was probably Mickey Rourke's character. Worse was Scarlett Johansson's. Cute but her fighting scenes were the pits. Robert Downey looked bored throughout. His performance was truly subpar.
The movie felt too long and I was actually somewhat relieved when it was over.
So my suggestion would be, wait for the DVD.

Some interesting story ideas are given short shrift by a rushed, cluttered execution. Ms. Johansson vogues her way through action sequences, and Mickey Rourke's Whiplash has little character development or sense of threat (especially in the second half). Most of the plot threads are joined in progress and resolved too quickly and easily. Still, Mr. Downey is a lot of fun as Stark, there's a nice set piece in Monaco, and (as usual) Marvel geeks are advised to stay until the very end.

While I'm a thrill seeker at heart when it comes to Summer Blockbusters, sequels generally fail on account of trying too hard. IM2 delivers a sound storyline (as sound as a comic adaptation can get), decent action sequences and quality performances by RDJ, Mickey Rourke and Don Cheadle. I think the script went too far with Tony Stark being narcissistic; that aspect was a little nauseating. I liked the interplay of the other characters; I'm not a comic book fan so I didn't know they had names like Black Widow, etc. There was just enough fantasy to signal it was a comic book come to life, though; the fight scene Natasha did was a great example. ..and great camera work.
Loved the one-liners. I think every character was perfectly cast. I just hope they scale back on the narcissism for Tony Stark and add more scenes that show his brilliance and cerebral wit; nobody does that better then RDJ.
Overall, the first IM was better than 2; but 2 is still a must-see.

We thought the movie was very thrilling and enjoyable. The story and characters were well built and just as action packed as the first Iron Man. It was also great to see such an action packed movie not have much blood in it. Also, be sure to stay through the end of the very long credits to see a sneek peak of what is being thought of next!!!

I loved the characters and the action in this film from beginning to end. I'm not a comic book reader, and do not know that much about the super heroes. I DO know, there wasn't a dull moment in this film, it kept my attention and was very entertaining.Everyone will love this film.

Great movie, Scarlett Johansson was AMA-ZA-ZING...Mickey Rourke did a phenomenal job with Whiplash and the switch to Don Cheadle (who I like as an actor, but I hate to switch character actors between sequels) made the switch not-so-noticlable. I only wish they would have explained a few things just a bit more **********SPOILER*********** like the element, and the connection between fury and H.Stark...other than that, AWESOME SUMMER MOVIE!! GO SEE IT RIGHT NOW!!!

We liked the movie. Slow start but ended up with a bang. Younger kids want to see Ironman through out the movie so it was not so much for him.
