There's some good ideas in this Bourne/Fugitive mash-up - it's just a shame that most of them are in the last quarter. The majority of the film is pretty pedestrian, and while Jolie is fine, Noyce's direction and the rest of the cast aren't much help.
Some interesting story ideas are given short shrift by a rushed, cluttered execution. Ms. Johansson vogues her way through action sequences, and Mickey Rourke's Whiplash has little character development or sense of threat (especially in the second half). Most of the plot threads are joined in progress and resolved too quickly and easily. Still, Mr. Downey is a lot of fun as Stark, there's a nice set piece in Monaco, and (as usual) Marvel geeks are advised to stay until the very end.
