After reading several critics' reviews, my anticipation to see this one waned quite a bit. I had expected it to fall prey to the typical over-produced, over-the-top action, and thin story, that most blockbuster sequels fall to (see Transformers 2). Yet, the story was better than reviewed, and I never found a lack of importance to the story - more time was spent on character development than expected, and overall well worth your time. A little something for everyone.

I think it was good to great. I believe critics and people in general are too hard on followup movies. The basic story is known and I think people expect way too much. It's entetrtaining, action filled and some pretty cool cinamatography. The special effects are pretty slick to. I can't wait for the third movie. I hope they develop the relationship between Tony and Pepper more. It took him way too long to kiss that beautiful woman who obviously loves him very much.

This movie will be rated 9 out of 10 for me. The graphics and tech is really great. The only thing missing is War Machine needs should have been more in the movie and also the boss should have been a longer scene. When the great action is happening with the boss the movie ended. It would have been a 10 if war machina and iron man fight with the boss was a little longer and the ending should have been a bit more detailed. I would recomend my frineds to watch this movie.

The movie really picks up well from the ending of the previous movie and tells the story well. The action scenes are quite fantastic as well.

While the movie is great with a fast pace, lots of action it builds to a disappointing climax that's a bit predictable within the story. The main drawback and negative for me is that although the graphics, acting, sci-fi gadetry is ridiculously awesome the story is only focused on the action and smacks of a narcissistic view lacking any real moral unlike the original movie that tells a story of self-discovery and personal redemption for Tony Stark. A great effort at continuing something truly amazing and inspiring but instead a true letdown.

Just a great couple hours of escapist entertainment. Everyone in the cast did a great job - Robert Downey Jr was fabulous as always, Mickey Rourke was a great adversary (how funny to see him playing a smart guy!) and I loved Scarlett Johansen. Even Sam Rockwell was perfect and I usually don't like him. I can't wait to see where things go in IM3!

Watching Ironman 2 was as much fun as reading the comic book and then watching Ironman on Saturday morning growing up. One major difference, great special effects! While you pretty much knew where the movie was going the special effects, music score and Robert Downey Jr.'s quips more than made up for it. In the real world the good guy does not always win. This movie delivers a great shot in the arm for the good guys winning. Want more analysis? Then we would have to consider the underlying implications. Was it teamwork of selfishness, patriotism or socialism? What was the writer, director and hollywood really trying to say here? What is the real message? Not! Even if you had not seen I.M. 1 this film was enjoyable. Good plot albeit a tad-bit predictable. Scarlett Johansson was a nice addition. Glad to see G. Paltrow had a better/bigger part. Dialogue was well done - fast, witty. Favreau's cameo's were unnecessary and self-serving. Funny that you never see a woman behind the wheel in any car scenes - they are all being driven or saved by someone else (except Johannson's penetration of the Hammer facility). All together an enjoyable "worth paying for" flick.

Mickey Rourke makes a great villain though perhaps a little "too" much on the character considering he is supposed to be a great scientist. It was fast moving, engaging and did not seem drawn out. That being said, it was not quite up to "1" hence 4 stars. Robert Downey Jr. continues to show his range and skill since he cleaned up his act. Scarlett Johanson was a surprise and we liked her performance as an action character. Everyone in the audience was having a good time; after all it is a take off from a comic book. We got exactly what we expected

Loved the movie. recommend that people see Iron Man 1 to remember about the characters. The special effects in this movie was fantastic. I was very happy to view the movie in a I Max theater, if we had drive in theaters in Florida that would have made the movie come alive! The actors were without a doubt great, I would have liked to see Samuel L. Jackson in a larger part. Maybe in Iron Man 3 he will. Over all I would go back and see this movie again.

I did not care for the first Iron Man, however, I wanted to see IM2 for villain, Mickey Rourke. He did not disappoint! In fact, the entire movie was awesome from start to finish and I can't wait to see it again! A MUST SEE!!! Don't miss this big screen action-packed movie.
