IM2 is just as good as the first movie. RDJ and GP play their characters as well as ever. Although the bantering between the two gets a little excessive. Mickey Rourke nails Whiplash. More one on one screen time between the two would have this movie better. Action sequences were great. My favorite part though was Tony Stark discovering the upgrade to the suit and reconnecting with his father. SJ's role is a definite setup for the next movie. This movie is worth seeing on the big screen.

Very good special effects, acting was great. Robert Downey Jr. never disappoints. Scarlett Johansson and Mickey Rourke were also fantastic. Gwyneth Paltrow and Samuel L. Jackson were great supporting cast.
Good story, a little slow to start but great in the end. Can't wait for part 3.
Also, don't leave until after the credits, there's more at the end...

So, it has been over a week since the initial opening - so I took advantage of going to a Sony 4K large screen showing of Iron Man 2. Definitely recommend that you see this spectacle on a large screen (IMAX also?). One of my favorite actors, Jon Favreau both directs (for the 2nd time) and also is present more as an actor. A couple of comedic settings with Jon made my day. Can't wait to see Iron Man 3, and of course - the Avenger series.

I absolutely loved this movie! Robert Downey, Jr. does an amazing job, yet again! His mix of humor with his ability to get serious when necessary is one of his greatest attributes. I thought the special effects were pretty amazing and love the way the suit just opens up and assembles around him, effortlessly. Excellent movie, will see it again and will own it!

I had read some reviews, and I don't know what people expect from movies these days...
This was a great all round movie, and a fantastic sequel...maybe even better than the original. Highly recommend.
Given the lack of comic "material" I thought they took IM2 in a great direction w/ promise of more to come. I am maybe less excited about the "Avengers" future than IM3, which is sure to happen unless Robert Downey Jr. decides to avoid a 3-pete...if so, the franchise is dead wihtout him...IMHO.

I enjoyed the original but found the sequel more exciting and faster paced than the first. I really thought the way the new characters were brought in, as well as Tony's life and love issues with Pepper was well orchrestrated. Mickey Rourke played an excellent bad guy and Scarlett Johansson does what she does in anything. raise the temperature.

I thought it was good and worth seeing on the big screen.Sam Rockwell was perfect.The action seens at the end sometimes seemed to drag, but I'm old and not really into all that. It seemed like they were just blowing up things and it was hard to follow. Wasn't crasy about Cheadle's perfomance,there was no chemistry between him Downy. Still though you should see it on the big screen.

The visual effects and action were great. The story was just okay. Tony Starks over the top "I am the world's savior" attitude was more annoying than anything else. Whiplash was amazing, great job Mickie Rourke on that one. I think he's a pretty good villian with the look to match it. The attempts at humor were a little much in my opinion but there were a lot of truely funny moments. Overall, I liked the movie but I do believe the first installment was better! It's worth your $10!!

Favreau has a natural storytelling ability and it comes through in this sequel. Tony Stark shows character growth as he now struggles with his massive ego as a superhero and Rhodey, Pepper Potts, and Nick Fury do their part to put him back in line.
Very satisfying action sequences. Whiplash is scary, Rhodey acts like a military trained Lt. Col. and comrade of Stark. Don Cheadle fits Rhodey like a glove. He has rapport right away.
Constructive criticism: Black Widow's fight sequence is practically irrelevant, though I guess this is a good intro if she ends up in the Avengers movie. - The final battle sequence would be 10X better if it was during the day. Man it was sometimes hard to see what was going on in the dark. But alas, so many action movies end with a battle at night (see: FF, Hulk, Spiderman 1,2,3, Terminator 1,2...)
Overall VERY FUN movie to watch!

Not even close to as good as the first which I would have given 5 stars. Needed at least 1 more MAJOR action scene in the beginning. Favreau dropped the ball. Scarlett isnt a very good actress. Before i saw this movie i read all the reviews, everyone blasting this movie. I really enjoyed it, all the actors did a great job, one character,Justin Hammer is annoying. To many people here want to tear all movies aprt that are not like Brokeback Mountain or some liberal crap like that. I thought this was a good movie, not great but good. My children, 8 and 12, really liked it. Lots of action, some funny lines, kept them interested. If it keeps my 8 year old in his seat then it is ok by me.

This movie was so boring, I lost interest during the opening credits. My husband and I walked out after 45 minutes. Very boring, and Robert Downey Jr. was arrogant and wasn't funny.
