I will see this movie again. I am going to drag my husband this time. He is not into teen-angst. I have read the books and I do have to say even though a lot was left out all of the major highlights were hit right on the button. The detailed description of relationships and the environment were left out, but how can you explain the look of the four poster bed in a movie. For the record........I am neither team.
IM2 is just as good as the first movie. RDJ and GP play their characters as well as ever. Although the bantering between the two gets a little excessive. Mickey Rourke nails Whiplash. More one on one screen time between the two would have this movie better. Action sequences were great. My favorite part though was Tony Stark discovering the upgrade to the suit and reconnecting with his father. SJ's role is a definite setup for the next movie. This movie is worth seeing on the big screen.
I remember the first Clash of the Titans. This movie has more action and the acting is very good. I did connect with the characters. You don't need to see it in 3D. This is not Avatar by any means. Save your money - see it in 2D.
Granted the movie is predicable, however, it is still an excellent movie. The visual effects are outstanding. This is a must see in 3D. The planet of Pandora is really brought to life. If you go this movie to be entertained and not try to interpret the "message", I believe you will be thoroughly entertained. If you go this movie looking for a "message", you will miss the movie.
This movie is much better than I thought I would be. Meryl Streep is her usual excellent self. It was also good to see Alec Baldwin back in very good form.
First - This is a very good movie. The acting is excellent. The cinematography is also excellent. Harry on the luck potion is an excellent scene. Second - Unless you read the books, there may be some parts of the movie that are confusing. There are some parts of the movie that are not in the book. The final battle in Hogwarts was left out.......Too Bad!!!! The kiss between Harry and Ginny was changed. The memory of the Gaunt house was left out...........Important!! Even with these changes/omissions, this is still a very good movie and I will go see it again.
This was a very good movie. I would give it 4.5 stars if I could. The acting is terrific. Denzel is always great. Travolta almost steals the movie. He REALLY got into his character. I liked being left hanging about 'Did he really take the money?'. To save a life, I would have yes also. The one end that needed tying up was 'Did the mayor make it to the SEC?'. Turturro also did some very fine acting. See his character in Transformers, then seeing him here.....Very nice acting range. This movie is mine when the DVD comes out. One last thing.........The shootout in the street.....VERY INTENSE. This movie is not for young teenagers.
This movie is great!! I rank this movie right up there with Dark Knight. The cast in this movie NAIL and I mean NAIL there characters. These actors bring the heart and soul, but yet make the characters their own. Yet this is a team movie. The interaction and team work is marvelous. In my opinion, Carl Urban brings home Dr. Leonard McCoy. He is unbelievable. Simon Pegg as Montgomery Scott is fantastic. Pine and Quinto are amazing as well. The action is almost none stop. The dialog great!! Then to top it off.......Leonard Nimoy! His screen time may be short, but he makes you understand why we have loved Star Trek for so long. This is a MUST SEE movie.
This is a very good movie. I would rate it just below/even with Iron Man and even/just above Spider Man Series. I enjoyed the Love/Hate relationship with the brothers, "No one is going to kill my brother....except me!" Classic line. All of the actors did an excellent job. I even liked the cameo at the end. There are a few minor points in this movie that do not jive with the first X-Men movie, but those points do not take away from this movie. We will be adding this movie to the collection when it comes out on DVD.
I enjoyed this movie immensely! Beyonce does a very good. You can tell she has potential as an actress. Ali Larter also does a very job. She is most believable as the scheming temptress. Idris Elba is a very good fit as the successful husband/businessman that makes several missteps believing that things are under control. I would recommend this movie. The movie is not as intense as Fatal Attraction nor does it have the memorable one liners, but the movie is worth seeing.
