I liked the movie and how cute the actors were but I did not think the acting itself was good. I thought the movie demolished the book and made it funny. I don't mind that it is just I was expecting a romantic forbidden love thing. If you haven't read the books then i would recommend seeing the movie.

i loved the movie.......ofcourse i wished it was a little longer.....i felt that it was almost like if a friend asked you about the book that is how you would explain it kinda rushed but covering the jist of it......i am still a hugh fan and will own it when it comes out on dvd....i will be in the line when the next one comes out. ~TWILIGHT~ ROCKS~

I enjoyed the movie but probably not as much as my 14 yr. old daughter and her friends. The movie was visually appealing and the chemistry between Bella and Edward was great. Story line was thin, but didn't read the book yet so I didn't know all the background details.

Great Movie but the book was better

As is typical in instances where a book is made into a movie, the book was better. The movie was great. I've seen it twice already. I think you had to read the book to truly appreciate the movie. Robert Pattinson and Peter Facinelli were the best actors in the cast. Kristen Stewart was good, but I thought she was a little flat and I didn't think she represented the lovey-dovey feelings that Bella had for Edward in the book. Rosalie was OK. She was very mean as described in the book, but was not as beautiful as one would have expected after reading the book. All in all, a great film. It achieved what it was expected to achieve. Can't wait to see New Moon.

I was dead set against Robert Pattinson as Edward. BOY was I WRONG! He totally nails! He has these anguished tortured looks that almost rip your heart out. The casting was AWESOME! And I can't wait to go see it again! I was blown away!

My Daughter and I went to the movie in the morning and ended up going back in the afternoon to see it again!!! We enjoyed it soooo much. I actually had fun watching the characters coming alive on the screen and watching my daughter get excited seeing her favorite character (Jacob) come up first thing. I would tell all my friends to see it and am waiting on pins and needles for the next one.

The Theatre Went CRAZY!!!

This was the funnest movie I have ever been in. The cast was great and they stuck to the story the best they could. You will love the characters even more after you see the movie. Even if you hadn't read the book, it was still a great movie. People were screaming, hooting, and whistling - very fun!!! Great movie. Plan on going again soon!

I enjoyed the movie,and it followed the book faithfully. I think they should have developed character relationships a bit more. Was I the only one disappointed by the VERY short love scene? More please!

Rosalie's character was horribly miscast, and they could have done much better with Emmett and Jasper. Mike looked like he was 14 years old. Dr. Cullen was cast well, but the blond hair and white makeup did not suit him.

I have read all the books and am re-reading them as we speak. Stephenie Meyer is a tremendous writer and the movie producers did a wonderful job putting her words to screen. I am as anxious as the next teenager for New Moon to hit the screen.

If you haven't seen it yet, go! If you haven't read the books yet, read!! Clean, romantic, mysterious, and full of action. This is one happy Grammy!!!

As I expected, the movie did not portray the book very well. I have learned that books are always better then the movie. I was also upset b/c I felt like I was watching a school special on T.V. It was a low budget film. I think it would be good enough to watch at home, but not a movie for the theaters. I also felt that the makeup job on the cullen characters were horrible. Hopefully, for the next movie they will have more money to produce a better film with better special effects.

My daughter can't stop talking about Edward.....she was squeezing the life out of my arm everytime he came on the screen...she loved HIM and loved the movie!!

Twilight- great love storey

I enjoyed it and went with my 2 daughters who have read the whole series, I had not ready any YET.
Loved the movie and now I will read the series.
Loved that there was no gore, no filthy language
and according to girls went close to book.
They loved it as much as I did and want more
movies of series. Would even see it again.

The book is much better than the movie, but most books are. The movie was good too, but I think I was expecting more. I was dissapointed that things were different than the book. It seems that most of the guys I know enjoyed it more than the women.

I thought that the movie was very good but my 12 year old daughter and her friends thought it was the "Best Movie Ever!" I felt that the movie was a good adaptation of the book and stayed true to the story line. However, I felt that the beginning of the movie was so compressed that it did not fill out the plot properly and this seemed to affect the dialogue of the characters. The second half of the movie, which was truer to the book, was great. Overall, a great movie that I'm sure I'll see again.

I too, enjoyed reading the books as much as my 16 year old son's girlfriend and was looking forward to seeing the movie.
I agree the chemistry between Bella and Edward could be felt in the theater, I thought much of the movie was "cheesy and awkard."
I thought some of the special effects weren't realistic. The fight scenes were good.
I hope that the next ones are better done.

Amazing. Fantastic. I absolutely LOVED it!! I feel it is challenging to translate a novel into a movie that the general public will find acceptable and interesting but still keep true to the story and the author. I think it did both. I would definitely see it again in theatres!

I thought the movie was awesome in the way the movie captured the underlying themes of the book. It is hard to bring a story that relies on character feelings and thoughts to a movie and I believe they did a great job. I am a mom of two teens and have read the entire Twilight Saga. We thought the movie also did a good job of foreshadowing events to come.

I have to say I was nervous that this movie would not hit the cord I wanted, well it was spectacular, the chemistry between Bella and Lovely Edward was perfect just what we were looking for!! I wish I could go see Eclipse tonight!!! When is that one going to be done???

While Rob Pattinson's facial expressions sometimes got on my nerves, the movie stayed true to the book, which I loved. The scenes that showed the vampire strength and speed were awesome, and of course the love story was great. Can't wait for New Moon.

Twilight Movie a great Bite!

The movie was good. It was wonderful watching my favorite characters unfold on the screen. Kristen Stewart did a wonderful job as Bella. Robert Pattinson really did look the part of a good Edward. I thought he played Edward a little harder than I would have read into the character, but I do understand what angle he was going for - the love struck, and also blood hungry 17 year old vampire. There were many beautiful scenes! The bedroom scene could not have been done better in my opinion! The special effects are exactly what I expected for a low budget film, they did have me laughing a time or two. The ballet scene was great . I'm excited to 1. go see the movie again, and 2. anticipate the release of it's sequel, New Moon!

As I started watching Twilight, I wasn't too pleased, because all I could think about was the book. Once I forgot about the book I was so into the movie. The movie was absolutely amazing and I will go to see it multiple times until it goes out of theaters. The actors were phenomenal and the director did a great job. If you loved the books go see the movie, but just keep a mindset that it won't be exactly like the book. You could tell in the theater who didn't read the book because they didn't laugh at certain parts so it definately helps to read the book first because then you know what the characters are thinking. This movie was amazing and every Twiliight lover out there should go see it!

I will start off by saying that I LOVED, really LOVED the four book series by Stephanie Meyer. My partner and my daughter LOVED them. I had co-workers at work that also fell in love with the series and we talked about each book in detail. Now, the movie. We waited with so much anticipation for the movie, but alas, it was empty of character, void of emotion and such a disappointment. It would be impossible to follow if you didnt read the book. Amusing to see some of the character ideas, but overall a waste of ticket money. Read the books, they are incredible. Skip the movie.

Good but left out so much

The movie was good; however, I wish it could have been a little longer and included more detail. I thought it skimmed over some important parts-like how long Edward had been watching Bella at night in her room- and how many nights he stayed with her in her room-and how important Alice's visions are-and Bella's reaction to blood-and the longing between the two to touch each other more-and Edward being jealous of all the other guys that like Bella. O.k., so that is a long list and it would end up being a 4 hour movie, but maybe some of it could have been included.
Overall, I enjoyed the movie and would recommend it to anyone. I am planning on seeing it again. And, I can't wait for New Moon to come out - hopefully it won't be too long!

Loved the book, HATED the movie! Why do screenplay writers and/or directors think they can improve on a book? Edward was all wrong - strange, staring, scary. Bella was unrecognizable from the book . Jacob was hideous. Jasper...won't even comment on that one. The "spider monkey" line - where the h&(^& did that come from? Edward would NEVER have taken clumsy Bella to the top of a tree. The meadow see was massacred. I could go on and on...

There were too many changes from the book - big and small. I CAN'T believe that Stephenie Meyers was pleased with the movie. What was she thinking? Don't waste your money - don't go. Stay home and curl up with the real Edward in the book!
