This movie was awesome! i was really worried that it wasnt going to follow the storyline of the book but it did. I was really impressed by how well the moive was cast. All of the actors and actresses did an amazing job! I would recommend this movie to anyone even if they havent read the book.

This movie was really good but of course i knew it would never be able to beat the book. what disappointed me the most is that throughout the entire movie, niether edward nor bella said "i love you" or any other variation containing the word love. i felt kinda like the focus of the book (aka: their relationship) was kinda lost to the overall plot, and i was disappointed in the "meadow scene" which was hardly the meadow scene at all. overall it was a good movie and i wasn't very disappointed, only a little

Bella was intensified in the movie. Constantly yelling unnecessarily-- Blinking out of control-- and then unusually calm in other scenes. Had I not read the book, a lot of scenes would have been presenting a different message my way.
Jacob and Bella met right away. There was no Bella looking like she didn't like her rusty truck or wondering how much it cost. her initial reaction was "it's great" and her having jake show her how to use it.
Edward and Bella didn't have their lunch sessions together-- and her friends in the movie were 100% supportive of her relationship with Edward, which wasn't like the book. Also.. maybe I'm blurring the books, but wasn't Charlie supposed to be convinced that the murders were wolf attacks?
No, I do not recommend this movie.

it is truly understandable, the book was amazing. I did find myself falling in love with all the Cullen boys though. They did a good job of capturing the characters but they skipped out a couple of the little romantic things. The gym scene, the blood typing, the letter, and other little things.

Although it was really cheesy, it was also really good. Edward was hot! There was a lot that was changed from the books, but it was done in a way that kept the important stuff there. Stephenie Meyer had a cameo, which was really cool! Overall, it was really good. I loved it! GO SEE IT!!!

I took a group of "tween" girls who had read the book and we all enjoyed it. I thought they did a great job of representing the book and I was not "counting down" the minutes until the movie was over. I enjoyed the movie as much as the girls. I found it very entertaining and would definitely recommend it.

I took my family (husband, 10 year old son, and 6 year old twin daughters, and myself) and everyone enjoyed the movie. The only part that was scary for my daughters was the violent scene at the end when they "cracked" James's neck. Otherwise, it was fine for all ages. I have to say that I did enjoy the book a lot more, but was glad to see the movie. I will own it on DVD. My son is looking forward to the next movie! My husband who is 34, even had several good laughs during the movie.

Everyone envolved in the making of this movie really steped up to the challenge. although some things were different it did not take anything away from the book. We will definetly see this again. The actor who played Carlisle was everything and more!

I loved it and I thought that it was a great adaptation of the book, especially coming from a new production studio that was only given a small budget. With a bigger budget the effects probably could have looked better, but with the budget and the short amount of time they had filming, they did really well. Twilight fans may be divided, but that's typical for any book to movie adaptation. Yes, they'll change things in the movie and they did, but they did it WELL! Most book to movie adaptations are choppy, but Twilight had a good flow. Other Twilight fans loved it! We went in there with lower expectations than most of the screaming girls and found the movie quite enjoyable, cast well considering, and done very well.

I really enjoyed this movie. However, being a fan of the Twilight series, I did notice some differences between the two. I was able to place the scene with that of the book, but there were some additions to the movie that did not appear in the book. However, people who have never read the book would be able to enjoy it wihout being lost. I feel that they did the setting well as many of the images were how I pictured them.

Kristen and Rob did such an AMAZING job! Their chemistry brought this movie to life, way beyond my expectations! I'm completely obsessed with the book, so it was really a dream seeing it brought to life! Absolutley amazing!

i obviously loved the books, who didn't...as for the movie i thought it was ok. with the budget as it was, i didn't expect to be "wowed", but i did enjoy it. i think that helped me going in. if i thought the special effects were going to blow me away, i would have been disappointed.i thought that it was mostly true to the book and enjoyed seeing the characters on screen.it was good enough to see again. if i were to go again, it would be when school was in session so i could actually hear it and enjoy it more.some teenagers were really rude. it will be on my dvd xmas list next year for sure :)

Fans of the book Twilight will not be disappointed. Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart put on a great performance of Edward and Bella! The Cullen family is fabulous.. yet I have to admit, some of the music during the film was a bit odd. All in all it is a great film!

I wasn't expecting a complete dipliction of the books, becasue the books where through Bella's thought majority. But there was a lot of moments there was no talking through out the whole movie in where you were suppose to feel the mood through there expressions. I laughed more than I thought I would for the mear fact that some of the "acting" was comical. It was a cheaply made movie, but I am glad I went only because I enjoyed the books. I won't be one that I rent again. If they make a second movie I would see it out of curiousity only.

If I hadn't read the books, I wouldnt have a clue what was going on in the movie.
It did not flow well and left much of the emotion and pertinent details out. Some details seemed filmed as an afterthought. Too much hype and not enough budget. You saw all the action in the previews.
Character development was lacking. The movie touched on the major events of the book, but didnt fill in the blanks. The acting was not believable and needed more dialogue. There was untimely, inconsistent narrative by the main character. The scenery IS beautiful and well captured, but Edward's movements are choppy and cheesy. He confesses his love from a tree and the theater was laughing. As for sequals, The director needs to step it up a notch.

This movie was subpar from start to finish. Everything about it from the acting (Why did Edward always look in pain?) to the special effects (Ex. Any shot of them running through the woods.) and camera work (Not ever shot needs to be a close-up!) felt amateurish. Some of that may fall to a small budget, but not all. From a story standpoint, this movie thoroughly "de-fanged" (literally and figuratively) the vampire mythos by completely ignoring the fertile character work that can be done when dealing with these type of beings. (Ex. How does one deal with being a17 year old forever? It would be harsh. See Kirsten Dunst in Interview with a Vampire for a more layered version of this.) Overall, blah and unintentionally laughable.

This movie was so amazing! The trailers for it did not go it justice. Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson were great. There was just the right amount of humor, romance, and action so that everyone was happy. This is seriously the BEST movie ever!

I didn't think skinny Edward had what it would take at first but he pulled it off. I ended up liking him as much as his character in the book. Rosalie wasnt nearly pretty enough but Emmet was a babe..should have seen more of him..and they should have included the birthday scene at the house with Jasper wanting a snack..That would have added more action which this first book really needed after all the serious swooning.

Overall it was a good movie, it could have been better in my opinion. I really liked all the characters, even though parts of the movie moved really slow for me. There are funny parts through out the movie which was a plus. But some of the other scenes could have been replaces with more of a plot enhancing scene. It didn't feel like we were in the theater for that long which was a good point of the movie.

It is really hard to take a book that people have such a passion for and bring it to life. I think they did an excellent job at this. Robert P did an excellent job showing that Edward was in physcial and emotional pain.

My only complaint is that it was TOO SHORT! I wanted more time with Edward and Bella. The movie seemed rushed. After falling in love with the "love story" aspect of Twilight, I was looking forward to see that come to life on the big screen. The movie focused more on ACTION. I will see this movie again, and suggest it to friends. In my opinion Rob Pattinson stole the show and really brought EDWARD to life!!!!! He DAZZLED me!!!

This movie was everything I wanted it to be and more. The chemistry between Kristen Stewart and Rob P was electric. While I wanted Rob's lines to be less dramatic - he still seemed to be the perfect Edward to me. See it once, see it twice and love it each time!

Although I would not rate this a GREAT movie I think that they did a very good job with the subject. The book has all this inner tension, a difficult matter to get across, and they did a very good job with that. The other thing that made it a difficult subject was that the Cullens are so superlatively good looking that finding people to play these parts well was challenging. They did a good job with that. Bella is a well played in that she is pretty in a simple and down to earth way. The bad guy was creepy! We were a little disappointed that they didn't use Forks, WA to film it but we realize that the real Forks high school is not that photogenic!
