I took my family (husband, 10 year old son, and 6 year old twin daughters, and myself) and everyone enjoyed the movie. The only part that was scary for my daughters was the violent scene at the end when they "cracked" James's neck. Otherwise, it was fine for all ages. I have to say that I did enjoy the book a lot more, but was glad to see the movie. I will own it on DVD. My son is looking forward to the next movie! My husband who is 34, even had several good laughs during the movie.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
