I thought the movie was much better than I thought it was going to be. I was afraid that the movie would be very corny and far below my expectations. I felt the characters and the dialogue was very consistent with the book. It was very enjoyable and never felt slow. I felt that the film was artfully and beautifully done as well. I definitely recommend the movie and will probably see it more than once in the theater.

This movie was really enjoyable and sweet and pretty closely done to the book, considering time constraints of a movie. The actors did a great job seeming mysterious but there voices needed to be more musical, i didnt feel that some of the romantic scenes were as breathtakingly portrayed as they were in the book. i think the lighting and sound could have been better used to portray this. the movie was great and i loved every minute of it, as someone who has already read the book. if you didnt read it, it may have been tough to really understand what was going on. but either way, i think the end definitely left you wanting to see the second one!!!

The movie was awesome but if you didnt read the book there were a lot of little things you would have missed watching it. When me and my husband got out he had so many questions for me because he had not read it. I can not wait for the next one.

I loved this movie so much that I saw it twice over the weekend. They did an amazing job with the cast and getting most of the story right. They did change a few things, but it made since to me why. A+++

I love the movie, it actually followed the essence of the book. But I would highly recommend people to read the book before watching the movie. It will make the movie that more especial, seeing your imagination come to life is pretty awesome.

I really liked this movie, but I was a little disappointed that it didn't follow the book more. I feel that some of the important parts of the book were not touched on in the movie. But all and all, I really liked the movie and would see it again.

I have read 3/4 books in the series and I thought the movie lived up to expectations. The casting for the movie was fabulous. The actors did a great job of creating these very creative characters. The movie moved at a quick pace and was magical. Loved it.

I thought they did a very good job interpreting such a detailed book. I really loved the whole awkward high school vibe. A good mixture of comedy with the serious undertones. Overall a job well done. I'll probably see it in theaters more than once.

Twilight was a really good movie. Although it was slightly different than the book. Some of the things they say do not match the movie and some things that they say are in differnt senes than they are supposed to be. There are a lot of lines straight from the book so that made up for all the mistakes. And also there is one thing in the movie that does not happen until the second book.

The movie ws pretty good, and I understand that there was way too much in the book to fit into a movie, but some of the sarcastic banter, the great communication b/w Bella and Edward wasn't there...a little too much "dramatic" camera angles, too little substance...

Having read all 4 "Twilight" books at least 3 times each, I guess I qualify as a fan. Catherine Hardwicke did well by the book. I don't envy her having to condense 500 pages or so into 2 hours, but she and her writer, Melissa Rosenberg, did a great job. The casting was good, too, especially Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattison. I hope they make enough money to greenlight a sequal, but only if all the cast comes back!

Why oh why does the writer/director have to change key points and stray from the original story. It just ruins it. I love the stories and characters in the movie. They're a perfect fit in looks, except for Rosalie. But, the dialogue and chemistry were disappointingly lacking in depth and quality. At times Bella spoke like she couldn't wait for it to be over. Several key events were out of sequence or in a different location than described in the book. The movie shouldn't be BASED on the book. It should BE the book. But I know it's ALL ABOUT THE $$$. Not a bad movie, just not so good either.

I had heard that the initial reviews were that this movie was not very good. I was pleased to find that it was an enjoyable movie. My daughter said the movie was not exactly like the book but she loved it - I had warned her in advance that movies are almost never as good as the book. I am sure we will be back to see it at least 5 more times. The love story is very believable and the actors did a truely good job. It was not too scary. I felt it to be fine for my twelve year old who has read three of the books at this point. There was one scene which was the beginning of a love scene which I felt alittle uncomfortable for my daughter to see but there was no follow through so it was fine. Over all, as a teen movie I think it scored!!

I myself have not read the book before watching the movie and I loved it. I am normally not into vampire movies but this one I saw as a love story instead of a blood bath. I would and have recommended this movie to everyone interested in seeing it. Can't wait for the second movie to come out.

Having read all the books, I was pleasantly surprised with how well done the movie actually was. It was actually better than what the trailers made it out to be. I went to the theater with three people who hadn't read the books and they really enjoyed it. Can't wait for the next one!

If you read the book, of course you'll be a little disappointed, but overall, it was a great movie. My boyfriend enjoyed it, even though it wasn't his movie of choice. It was hilarious, romantic, and most of all fascinating! I hope you enjoyed Edward as much as I did, because any girl who knows about him has to fall head over heels in love with him! And also Carlisle and Emmett. YUM!!!!

I am a huge fan of the books and I was skeptical about seeing a movie based on a film. I hope that Robert Pattinson picks up some acting classes before New Moon is shot. I think Robert Pattinson is a gorgeous Edward, but his acting skills left MUCH to be desired. The cheesy special effects added nothing to the movie, but earned laughs from my friends and I because they were so horrible. The running sequences were awful; I would have expected a better presentation of the speed skills than we were shown. I'm undecided if I would even want to see New Moon or any others; I don't want to spoil the love I have for all things Twilight by subjecting myself to the fake and unbelievable portrayals given by some of the actors.

I really loved the movie. My sister and I are ready to buy it. My 12 year old son even liked it. Thought there could have been more vampire fights but he is 12. The only thing I was disappointed about was Robert. Not a very good actor. Thought they could have made him more perfect like in the book. Otherwise everyone else was perfect.

I read the book and was reluctant that the movie would meet the overall feeling of the book. The movie was incredible. Although there were a few differences from the book, they made sense and flowed well with the movie. I wasn't sure if the movie could capture the "dreamy, romantic" feel of the book but I feel it did and that it was well directed.

I have read all of the books and I did like this movie. There were parts that were a little different than the book and the characters looked a little different than expected.ie Mike (the jock?). Overall, I thought the actors did a great job of capturing the intensity of the relationship. The scenes were a little slow but I loved the scenery and the music. Great film! I can't wait for the next one!!! All of the vampires are gorgeous!!!!!

I was so dissapointed whe the movie was over. I wanted it to go on forever! The movie 100% stayed true to the main story with just a few minor changes. It was obvious that it was low budget but that doesn't really matter much. I can't wait for New Moon, and I am sure they will have much more money to use for production. I am counting down the days!!
