I bought the books for my daughter to read, never expecting to read them. OMG! I fell in love with the characters, and couldn't stop reading all 4 books, including Midnight Sun, at least twice for each read. I didn't know what to expect with the movie, but I wasn't disappointed. This isn't Shakespeare, but it is something we will not soon forget. Yes, I am love with Edward and Robert is perfect. Quirky but perfect! Rosalie is so ...Rosalie. :)=

The movie was awesome!!! I've only seen the midnight showing so far, but i def want to see it again. It was a little bit different from the book but it basically followed it. Unlike the movie version of Eragon. I def would remind people to go see Twilight.

I have read all 4 books, and unike other movies made from books, this one seemed like the book had come to life for me. My daughter went with me just as company and came away a fan. She now wants to read the books.

I loved the Twilight books. I liked the movie, but the special effects and acting were just so-so. I think that if you haven't read the book you wouldn't really like the movie. But, if you read the books and love them then you will enjoy the movie! I am hoping New Moon will have a bigger budget and therefore be a better movie.

I love that this book was turned into a movie but reading the book first makes high expectations. I loved it and will still watch the other sequels but if the movie flowed better it would have allowed for less explaination as for how things went. My boyfriend doesn't know anything about Twilight and so I had to explain many things that made no sense to him. Just wish they kept a bit more true to form and not change the many things that made sense for these characters in the Twilight Saga. I'll be waiting for the next one.

I went in after reading the book-it was a ggod movie but you had to read too much into it. Didn't follow the book. The graphics were far fetched, the tree scenes expecially. But over all it was entertaining. Want to see it again to see what I missed the first time.

This movie followed the book diligently, and I loved seeing the scenes come to life. I knew I would love the casting for Bella's character, but I was surprised how much I also loved the actor who played Edward. The two hour movie flew by. If all the shows weren't already sold out, my sixteen-year-old granddaughter and I would have bought tickets and watched it over again right away. We'll probably see it again next weekend.

Overall, it wasn't too bad for a movie but for those who read the book, you probably agree with me when I say that the book was much better and the movie might have been a bit dissapointing. When I read the book, I enjoyed it a lot. I woke up at 8AM to go wait in line at the movie theater. I was a little dissapointed because I felt that they shortened the movie and made it nothing like the book. But, It wasn't completely boring so I'd give it a 3. I think if I hadn't read the book, I would have enjoyed it. I felt that there were certain parts where only people who read the book would have gotten. So when it comes to a review of this movie, its a REAL controversy.

The movie rocked! After reading all 4 books in 2 weeks, it was great to be able to see the characters of the book on screen. I am looking forward to seeing the movie for a 2nd time and purchasing the movie once it is released on DVD....and cannot wait for the sequels!

It barely followed the movie they took out all the great parts and the acting was HORRIBLE.. I could of done better when I was in highschool. I think they need a new director cause that movie had potential to be the best movie of all time but the director ruined it cause I have seen bellas character do well in acting before but she and Edward just sucked I am sorry I was so disappointed cause the book was just so amazing!!!

I actually dragged my husband along (he missed watching OU cream Texas Tech) and although he had not read the book he enjoyed the movie. The only negative was all the screaming teeny boppers that made it hard to hear the dialoge and the moron that kept flashing a lazer pointer at the screen - very annoying. I will definitely watch it again and purchase it when it is released on DVD - hopefully soon.

It was Great! I do agree it was different from the books but the movie has a small amount of time. But they did a great job with their 2 hours. I took 3 friends who have never read the books and are now interested in reading it. I love how they left it open for people to know there is more to the story, if I had never read the book I would be wanting to read it. It was amazing!! I hope they come out with the rest of the books in movie form. I LOVE TWILIGHT!!!

This movie was great! I had bought my tickets ahead of time and waited in line to get into the theatres for over an hour and it was well worth the wait to get the perfect seats. I loved it. My friends and I wanted to go back and get tickets for the next showing but knew it would be sold out. The next day I felt as if I was having withdrawels and I needed to go back and see it. I have an obsession with the books and now the movie as well. Edward was Beautiful! and so were the rest of the characters. Absoulutely loved it and will go back to see it again sometime, and of course purchases it when it comes out.

While I do wish certain scenes were longer (the courtship, restaurant, and meadow scene) and that the 'others' ordeal hadn't played such a huge role throughout the film, I loved seeing the book come to life. The scenery and actors were so beautiful, and did such an incredible job with their roles that I wasn't so much bothered by how the story that I was so used to jumped around. The interactions between them was funnier than expected (and entirely endearing). Many of the images have stuck with me. I do think people who have not read the books will still enjoy the film, though a lot of background information had been left out. Good stuff, check it out!!

This could have been a great movie - problem was I read the book. The books were fantastic, but the movie just doesn't do it. Some of the acting was embarrassing to watch - the first time Edward sees Bella in Biology for example, does he need a laxative or what? The scene where Edward flings Bella onto his back to race her through the woods - I burst out laughing, hysterically. It was supposed to be a very dramatic scene, but was just comical. The movie was silly and sophomoric at times. Some parts were laugh-out-loud funny in times where that's what the plot was going for, but sometimes not. Overall I would suggest if you saw the movie and left wondering what all the hype was about - go out and read the books and you'll know.

The midnight show was packed and loud. I missed out on a lot and frankly, the second showing stole my heart. See it again and ignore the less captivating effects. The director did the best that she could with a limited budget. Cannot wait to own this movie!

I am usually the first one to complain about book to movie renditions but I am actually okay with this film. I read the book the first week it came out and became a massive Twilight freak so I was fearful of this movie from the start. I am pleased to say that they stick to the story line and there are many direct quotes from the book. Now remembering that this was a low budget film the effects for this movie are not that bad, especially when you see the baseball scene.
People do not need to fear that their favorite book is going to be butchered in this film.
I cannot wait for New Moon to come out.

After reading the books and spent a good amount of time obsessing about this movie, I can say I really enjoyed this movie. I even got my mother hooked on the books, and she loved it. I am going to see it again tonight, I have a good feeling I will enjoy it just as much as the first time. Now there were sometimes when the acting was a little too awkward, but the chemistry between Pattinson and Stewart was amazing. Which is how I felt while reading Twilight. Now as for people who haven't read the novels, I don't know if you'll enjoy it as much as I did. But If you are a hopeless romantic you will love it.
I am very interested to see how they do with the next books.

Coming from someone who is a native of AZ, I was really annoyed with the opening scene. Bella's leaving her home and there are a large amount of sickly-stick-like-all-look-the-same Saguaro cacti in the background. Such fakery disgraces the majestic Saguaro. For me, that just gave the movie a bad taste in my mouth right from the beginning. That said, I thought the acting was great and it was pretty true to the spirit of the book.
