This could have been a great movie - problem was I read the book. The books were fantastic, but the movie just doesn't do it. Some of the acting was embarrassing to watch - the first time Edward sees Bella in Biology for example, does he need a laxative or what? The scene where Edward flings Bella onto his back to race her through the woods - I burst out laughing, hysterically. It was supposed to be a very dramatic scene, but was just comical. The movie was silly and sophomoric at times. Some parts were laugh-out-loud funny in times where that's what the plot was going for, but sometimes not. Overall I would suggest if you saw the movie and left wondering what all the hype was about - go out and read the books and you'll know.
