This movie was one of the best movies I've seen in stop motion!
This movie was a great adventure, both mysterious and creative! Henry Selick did a great job on this one. There was so much detail in all of the characters that I would forget I was watching dolls!
I admit it is a bit out there for children but it has a great moral ending.
P.S. This is a Henry Selick Movie...NOT TIM BURTON! Henry Selick Directed this one & the Nightmare Before Christmas!
I am usually the first one to complain about book to movie renditions but I am actually okay with this film. I read the book the first week it came out and became a massive Twilight freak so I was fearful of this movie from the start. I am pleased to say that they stick to the story line and there are many direct quotes from the book. Now remembering that this was a low budget film the effects for this movie are not that bad, especially when you see the baseball scene.
People do not need to fear that their favorite book is going to be butchered in this film.
