While I do wish certain scenes were longer (the courtship, restaurant, and meadow scene) and that the 'others' ordeal hadn't played such a huge role throughout the film, I loved seeing the book come to life. The scenery and actors were so beautiful, and did such an incredible job with their roles that I wasn't so much bothered by how the story that I was so used to jumped around. The interactions between them was funnier than expected (and entirely endearing). Many of the images have stuck with me. I do think people who have not read the books will still enjoy the film, though a lot of background information had been left out. Good stuff, check it out!!
