Excellent movie!! Good cast. I'm kinda glad they went with actors we don't necessarily see in most movies or on TV. I couldn't have picked a better Edward or Bella. I can sit here and list a million of the pros to this movie such as the music, the movie location scenes, and the character interactions......the list would go on. The only con to seeing this movie is that if you haven't read the book then I don't think you might enjoy it as someone who had. So my recommendation prior to seeing it in theaters- go read the book first. It will enrich the experience for you. Can't wait for New Moon to come out!!!

not so good...the books were incredible and i didn't have high expectations for the movie, but i was still very disappointed. i never got the feeling that bella and edward really wanted each other...i believe it was just too much book for a good movie.

At first when I got out of the movie, I was unsure if I liked it or not. It seemed to just touch the surface of the story and there wasn't enough detail to compare to the book. When you read it, you see Bella & Edwards relationship evolve. In the movie, it seems very quick. I also didn't care for the "sparkling", I had envisioned something different. After going over it in my head though, I think it was a great movie. To my surprise, my husband (who I made come see it) actually liked it too and he hadn't read any of the books. I think Kristen and Rob were perfect characters and the supporting cast did a great job as well. I'm really looking forward to "New Moon". Hopefully they don't wait too long to put it out.

OMG this movie was awesome. Of course it left you wanting so much more...THAT IS WHAT A MOVIE IS SUPPOSED TO DO...I laughed, I cried and I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. This movie did exactly what it was supposed to do, it established the story line and every character....I want more....Great Job!! I have always liked Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson is a great match for her......Go Team Edward

While I adored this movie, just a note to other parents, don't take your 16 year old son that hasn't read the book. He never understood Alice's role in the film and had nothing good to say about it. My daughter, my son's girlfriend and I absolutely adored it. We are going to see it again this weekend without my son!

I haven't read the books yet, but now that I've seen the movie, I most definitely will! Loved the movie! Very well done and I thought they developed the characters very well so that you actually feel something instead of jumping into the middle and not connecting.

I went to see this movie at the opening on Thursday night and I was surprised at how good it was. It keeps your attention all the way through wondering what will happen next. Watching this movie has actually inspired me to read the books. My kids have read all of them, and that's why they wanted to see it. We all really loved it.

If you read Twilight, and loved it, you will like the movie because as much as possible it follows the book. If you have never read the book, the movie probably seems lame and confusing. Most movies are not as good as the book, and the same can be said for Twilight. There is a magic in the book that is hard to translate to the screen. So in order to enjoy this movie, read the book first. It is a fast read and quite addictive. If you do not like the book -- skip the movie.

The movie followed the book. But I felt that it didnt explain Edwards and Bella's relationship the right way. It made it seem very cheesey. I really wish they would have showen more of them in the field. It was okay I hope the second move has more action in it.

Robert Pattinson was a terrible choice, and the kid that played Jacob was horrendous! I was ready to leave the theater within the first 5 - 10 minutes of the movie. Terrible acting, terrible casting, terrible directing. Will NOT be buying this atrocity when it's released on DVD. Maybe I just had higher expectations, but with a book series of this caliber that is easy to read over and over, you shouldn't need an airsick bag in the theater. God forbid they film the rest of the series, PLEASE recast and get a new director!! Other movies based on books for kids/teens (e.g. Harry Potter, Narnia) were excellent films. Just because the target audience is a bunch of woo girls doesn't mean it shouldn't have some quality for crying out loud!

I would have loved the movie if I didn't read the book first. They left out way too much. I didn't like a lot of the scenes that they added. I felt like it took away from the book. If they would have made the movie 2 1/2 hours they could have gotten more things from the book in. And the girl who plays Bella was painful to watch.

I thought the movie was great. I agree with some that say there was a little over acting, as if the director did not trust the audience to know when Bella was angry or frustrated, but overall I love the movie and cannot wait for New Moon.
I am also thankful Kristen Stuart stood her ground about some of the so called corny lines, if in fact that is true. I can only imagine how corny the lines must have been.

This was not a high budget movie, but it was great. It touched on everything important that happened in the book. Edward is perfect! He had the tortured gaze, the crooked smile and overall he was so dreamy!

I loved the movie!!
I wasn't quite sure about Robert Pattinson as Edward, but when he walked in the door he was "Edward". The rest of the cast was great too.
There were some differences to the book, but overall it was very similar. I was hoping to see it end with Bella's birthday. That would lead into the 2nd film.
All in all, everyone I saw leaving the movie looked like they enjoyed it.

For fans of the book as well as total newcomers, I know both types who went to see the film and loved it! It hit on all the major highs from the books, had a lot of suspense and, I think, tells the story of Edward and Bella in such a great way. It really sets up the next movie (movies, hopefully) and I can't wait to see New Moon next!

If you are a teenage girl you will absolutely go crazy!!! As a mom of 2 teenage girls it was a great movie - even I ended up falling for Edwards character and not wanting the movie to end. My girls and I can't wait for the next one.

I am not sure if this was the case everywhere, but I had a really bad experience with the audience. There were a lot of little girls in the theatre that would scream at every part of the movie. I would say that was almost enough to ruin it for me.

My daughter and I loved the movie. I don't usually like movies after I have read the book. This was one of the exceptions. Harry Potter is the other exception.They did leave out a few parts I felt were important to the movie. But over all it was fantastic. I want to see it again. I can't wait until the next movie.

This was a great movie. It kept in with the book but but added in a few differences that worked out great. It still keeps you in love with the Edward character.
I just wish they did not make Jasper look quite so freakishly funny....you just had to laugh when you seen him.
I will totally buy it when it comes out on DVD. And I cannot wait until the next one...

I knew it would not be as good as the book, but I think some parts were a bit choppy. I wonder how it may have appeared to someone who did not read the book. Was it easy to follow? Overall I enjoyed it because I really like the story line and the characters. I thought Kristen Stewart as Bella did a fantastic job!

I went to the midnight showing and have seen it two times since. The movie is absolutely amazing to me. Of course it's not identical to the book, but it is the best movie adaptation I have ever seen. I was very impressed especially because of there budget. I would recommend this movie to anyone who adores a good love story.
