What a disappointment

Robert Pattinson was a terrible choice, and the kid that played Jacob was horrendous! I was ready to leave the theater within the first 5 - 10 minutes of the movie. Terrible acting, terrible casting, terrible directing. Will NOT be buying this atrocity when it's released on DVD. Maybe I just had higher expectations, but with a book series of this caliber that is easy to read over and over, you shouldn't need an airsick bag in the theater. God forbid they film the rest of the series, PLEASE recast and get a new director!! Other movies based on books for kids/teens (e.g. Harry Potter, Narnia) were excellent films. Just because the target audience is a bunch of woo girls doesn't mean it shouldn't have some quality for crying out loud!
No, I do not recommend this movie.
