I knew the movie was not going to be like the book--It would be impossible to create every single detail and keep the movie in an appropriate ammount of time and not make it too long (I wouldn't mind though). Anyway, I though the movie stayed close to the book as much as possible. Some things changed but because it was so GOOD, you forgive and forget. The only issue I had was that some of the special effects were not the best, and when you see the movie, you'll see what I mean. Overall, I believe the movie was great and I would go watch it again. It was awsome!!!

I could watch a million times. Edward & Bella's parts were played perfectly. I think if you had not read the book you would miss some important information though. They should have put a few scenes in the movie that were in the book and left out the mean vampire killings that were not in the book. Edward was mezmerizing to watch!!

I loved it! It stuck real close to the book. Of course, it was too short but that's a good thing because it meant I was really enjoying it and didn't want it to end. I am so glad to hear they are turning the next book "New Moon" into a movie. They need to just go ahead and put the money aside for the entire series, then Stephanie needs to expand from the last book because there are so many characters that are so interesting! I am in love with Edward and his and Bella's love is so addictive. BRAVO!!!

If you've read the book, you'll love the movie! Husband was kind of lost because he hadn't read the book, but he said it was much better than he'd expected. lol

I went and watched the movie over the weekend, and was drawn into it very quickly from the beginning. It was shorter than I would have liked, and left some things out that I felt were crucial to the Edward-Bella relationship, but most of the points were brought across. I can't wait to see the next one!!!

i'm so compleatly disapointed in this film. it was choppy, deleated sceens that were vital and then added to the storyline sceens that were a waste! they should have focused on the love story and stuck to the structure of the book! what happend to the big white house with a wrap around poorch on the river? the many situations they spent together? bella being close with alice? hopefully new moon will be directed and edited better and to the expectations of the fans. i know the movie cant be as good as the book but the director only has to follow the structure of the book. the very important structure of the book...

I really enjoyed this movie! I've never been a fan of vampire books/movies before, and I loved Twilight!!! Very few variations were made from the book to the movie, and so much of what I imagined as a reader came true while watching the movie! It was great!!!!

Figuring that I was taking the wife to see just another chick flick, I was pleasantly surprised with the story - where the vampires are really decent individuals and are doing their best at fitting in with the world.
The romance part of the story is modern day gothic. This is one a guy can take his girl to and not have to feel like a martyr.

I loved this movie. I'm a huge vampire movie fan. And this movie was so different than your tipical vampire movie. It was such a romantic love story. It showed that vampires are not just blood sucking monsters. They do fall in love and they do have feeling and care for other people. I just loved the way they portrayed how Edward cared for Bella and how his family excepts her even though she is not one of them. Maybe everyone should watch this movie and learn something from it.

I thought while the story was good, this was a low budget movie. The sound was very poor, and the effects for this time, were very amaturish. I would hope that the next one will be up to par for this kind of money maker. The cast was very good, just wish the studio was better.

The relationship and intimacy of Bella and Edward was rushed, that by the end you didn't feel they knew eachother well. Bella walking into the woods with her back turned from Edward while telling him her thoughts was awkward and unnatural. The scene where Edward climbs up the tree with Bella holding on--again an awkward and unnecessary scene. The ending fight in the dancehall was the epitome of cheasy. Why wouldn't it be in Edward's character to kill James while his brothers and even his sister took part in the ritual? Also Edward looked dumb as he sucked out the venom. The actors were well chosen but they lacked direction in their roles.

I enjoyed watching Twilight very much. It was funny and had alot of things from the book, even though they were in the wrong setting or kinda crammed together. I think the movie would have had to be 4 hours long to get it exactlly right. What they sould have done was a 4 part made for TV Movie or even a series. The book is soo detailed and has soo much emotion, they couldn't quite capture it on film. I would watch it again and even buy it in DVD when it comes out. Now that they made good money on this movie, hopefully New Moon will be closer to the book.

I was pleasently surprised with this movie. I went into the theater with not a lot of expectation - beacause it is so hard to pull everything from a book to a movie. I felt the things they changed or left out were necessary to streamline the story. The movie could have been 30-45 minutes longer in my opinion - overall though I am very happy with the way it was done and am planning to see it a few more times in the theater. Can't wait for New Moon!!!

I loved this movie... why-- because it wasn't hollywoodized! I can't wait to see what Cahterine does with the rest of the movies. The entire cast should be extremely proud of portraying Stephenie's books.
Everyone we spoke to loved it as well. The entire audience was clapping and laughing and going crazy b/t Team Edward and Team Jacob.

In the past I have not been impressed by movie adaptations. This one was a great movie with a lot of humor. I was hoping that the movie would have been more like the book. I really didn't expect it to be. The cast was great. The one character I am not so sure about is Nikki Reed's. She has big shoes to fill, because the book describes her character as having beauty that has never been seen before. I am looking forward to the next three.

I loved the movie, but there were some parts that I think the editiors could have done a little bit of a better job at. For example a lot of the close up staring scenes that were supposed to be serious ended up being funny because of the way it was filmed. Other than that, I loved the movie and can't wait for the next one! I would Recommend this to a Friend.

I read the book & was blown away by how awesome this movie was! It kept true for the most part to the book. Edward was just as dreamy as i'd imagined him! It was SO great to see the book come to life in this great adaptation!!!! Go see it, you will NOt be disappointed!

My husband and I read the Twilight saga books and went to the movie with an open mind. I enjoyed the movie more than my husband. I felt the movie was a little rushed to get in all of the important events from the book. However, I did feel the tension between Edward and Bella and enjoyed all of the actors that were selected for the roles. I am looking forward to the rest of the movies and how well they represent the rest of the books.

I was a little surprised by how VERY GOOD this movie is. The filmmakers captured the essence of the book, and the actors nailed their characters. My personal favorite is Billy Burke who plays Charlie. I will see this movie again. Oh, and I'm NOT a teenager! :)

I knew the movie couldn't capture all the nuances of Edward and Bella's relationship but the movie was worse in that aspect than I anticipated. For instances, the acting when Edward and Bella first meet in biology class was awful! Utterly AWFUL! I actually laughed - and I shouldn't have - it should have been a tense scene. And what was with the funky music - I thought I was watching an art house movie. And the special effects - if you want to call them that -were awful an reminiscent of the 80'. E.g Edward in the sunlight. And they should have given us about 5 more minutes of Edward and Bella together talking and in love prior to James & co. strolling into town!

WOW! I loved this movie. I know books are always so much better than their movies, but in this case, the actors really captured the personalities from the book; and the music enhanced the movie the way the extra details enhance the book...Absolutely loved this movie. Would recommend you read the book first. But thought that the story was brought to life so magically! Can't wait to see it again!

A friend of mine told me she wanted me to read the book and go see the movie with her, and I cant decide if I regret the decision. I really liked the movie, but it's almost depressing. Seeing love where two people quite literally do not care about the rest of the world, reality, or consequences, almost makes you disappointed with a normal life. It was a really enjoyable movie, but brings up interesting thoughts.
