The movie had so much potential that the end product couldnt help but fall short. The PG-13 rating says it all, and a large amount of the movie was directed specifically at teen-agers. If this had been done as originally intended, it would have been amazing, but as it stands, it is merely passable.

Despite a relative lack of overall plot (this movie being a prequel which essentially sums itself up in the last line) there was plenty of action with a squeeze of romance to keep everyone entertained. A very enjoyable film, seems short at 92 minutes, but the art style was very nice.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

A friend of mine told me she wanted me to read the book and go see the movie with her, and I cant decide if I regret the decision. I really liked the movie, but it's almost depressing. Seeing love where two people quite literally do not care about the rest of the world, reality, or consequences, almost makes you disappointed with a normal life. It was a really enjoyable movie, but brings up interesting thoughts.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Less Gory, Still Great

This Movie was just as enjoyable as the other Saw's, and it managed it without as much gore (note: there still is gore, it just seems lessened). More than other Saw movies, one could watch this movie by itself and have a good idea of what is going on, but to tie everything together, you should have an extensive knowledge of the prior Saw movies.
A little more of the plot is revealed; will everything come together in Saw VI? My guess is this movies profits will decide if we stop at VI or continue on to VII and beyond.
