Okay. I am an Twilight Series Addict. Not even joking. I have read this series over and over again. I was so excited to see this movie, but when it started I was very very disappointed. The movie was hardly like the book. I mean, I know that most movies are not like the book, but they could have done a lot better. The most important parts of the book were destroyed. And then they added more stuff into it that was not necessary. If they had stayed more to the book, I think I would have enjoyed it more. I will still get this movie because I did love some parts, but I was really not that pleased with the directing or screenplay writing. Oh, well. I guess I won't get my hopes up for the next ones.

If I didn't read the books....I would have been totally lost
There were some good parts but mostly bad.. It left out some important parts from the book... It went by too fast, and too much was going on in a short amount of time.. It was like I was waiting for something else to happen and then it ended... I hate how it ended, how it just cuts off.....

Going into the movie I had low expectations for how it was going to be, (Since I read the book and usually the movie is never as good as the book is). I was surprised at how good it was! Everyone was casted so well for the movie, and it lived up to expectations well. Yes it seemed a little rushed in the end, but there was so much in the book, it was understandable some things wouldn't be dragged out. There were moments in it I wasn't expected to laugh, but there was comic relief in certain spots that made the movie that much more enjoyable. Very well made and it stuck to the book as close as it could. I would recommend this movie to anyone.

I actually bought thr pre-sale tickets to take my daughter because she has been a Twilight fan since day one and has read every book and know every character but I am glad that I went because I really enjoyed the movie, now I can't wait for the next one. The director chose the actors on point they did a great job. I would recommend seeing this movie again and again.

I definiately like TWILIGHT!!! i am a obsessive twi-hard. it was a good movie. the actors did very well staying true to the story line. the only thing was that the story moved too fast and some of the stunts could have been done better but i am sure that they didnt have a large budget. Thats the only complaint. We saw the midnight showing and we will be seeing it again. Cant wait until New Moon.

I loved the Movie. I thought it was funny, romantic and exciting. Edward was wonderful just like I thought he would be but I was caught off guard by Jasper. I thought he was just as hot as Edward!!! I thought this was a great movie except my only issue would be that it moved along too quickly, I would have loved to see it slow down a little and explain a little more. But overall Loved It!!!! I thought Bella and all of the Cullens were dead on!!! Hope they make New Moon soon!!

I would have to say read before you see the movie, otherwise you might be pretty lost. If you can get over the fact that the beginning is much too choppy, I'm sure that you'll enjoy it. It was much funnier than I expected, especially with some of the characters I saw as being more serious in the books. Charlie particularly was awesome, as were the Cullens and Mike and Eric were just insane. Overall, I think they did a good job with the cast. The music in this movie is awesome, both in terms of soundtrack and instrumental. I think they did an overall good job considering the time restraints and such. Hopefully the rest of them will be longer... 2 hours just wasn't enough.

The main characters did a good job, but it felt like there was an important element missing throughout the movie that I couldn't pinpoint. It moved so fast that I felt like the characters didn't really connect with each other. Hollywood added a great deal more violence and sex than necessary and many of the previews shown before the movie are not appropriate for the younger readers. I wouldn't have gotten what was going on if I hadn't read the books. After the movie was over, I thought it was a good movie--I'm glad I saw it once, but the overall feeling of dissatisfaction of missing elements, unnecessary violence and sex, and lack of closure would keep me from recommending it to a friend or family member.

This was everything I had hoped for and more. Even the audience was interactive with clapping, sighing, and laughter. Although the beginning wa a bit choppy, it quickly got right into the heart and soul of twilight. Hooray!

Yes, I understand there was little budget. I can't imagine that is any excuse to completely massacre the story. I can't be alone in thinking that Kristen Stewart's acting was GOD AWFUL. I was at a loss for words at the utter lack of chemistry between them.There was love and chemistry exploding from the pages, while the on screen performances of Edward and Bella made me feel that they were just - uncomfortable around each other, ALWAYS.

This is a sweet, lovely little movie. Lots of smoldering sidelong glances, sighs, etc. Bella's Dad is wonderful. The makeup is a bit cheesy and Bella's a tad wooden. But cute and sweet overall. I melted my Junior Mints.

I've read all 4 books- they are very well written and Stephenie Meyer captured an audience of women ranging from pre-teens to their moms. I had high hopes for the movie til I read a bad review...some parts were a little cheesy and it rushed through the first 45 minutes of the movie leaving out those emotions that capture you right from the start in the books. If you LOVED the books, you can't help but love the movie too, all-in-all. Took my husband who had not read and he said the movie made him want to read the books. It ended well, I think- almost like it took them the first hour to warm up for the second.

I'm 33 with a teen, that told me to read the book before the movie comes out. You have to read before you get it. The movie does go by fast. By jumping around to much. I feel that they're were parts that should have make it on the BIG screen.

the movie was pretty good if you don't constantly compare it to the book. i did feel like there were parts missing that were essential to defining some of the characters and i also felt the the movie moved to quickly; it could have been afforded to be longer. i definitely regret going to the see the movie on opening day because of the crazed and screaming fans that caused us to miss some of the lines. would definitely recommend the movie to others.

I saw it last night with my husband and our only complaints were that it was too short, and we are partly deaf from the teenage girls screaming everytime Edward smiled. If you read the book, you will love it. It doesn't cover as much as you would like it to, but no movie based on a book ever does. They managed to fit a lot into the 2 hours. It has a bit of an independant feel to it, meaning you can tell they were working on a smaller budget, but I don't think that hurts the overall experience of the movie. I am aleady looking for a time when I can see it again. I'm really looking forward to New Moon

This film was "cute," if you don't look too closely. Bella was flat, Edward was well played, and Alice was perfectly casted. In the end, Charlie wound up being my favorite. He portrayed an awkward, yet protective father very convincingly. The movie lacked a sense of flow, appearing to be more of a series of quick episodes rather than a cohesive story.
Overall, I think the way the characters read on the printed page of the book were more 3D than the actors' portrayals in the movie.

Being a huge fan of the books, I guess my expectations were too high. Although I loved the movie, I felt it moved a tad too fast. Robert Pattinson was great. But some of Kristen Stewart's acting felt fake to me. There were funny moments that only Twilight readers would understand. Even though the movie wasn't as good as the book, it was worth it. Yay for Twilight!

This movie is so good!! I dunno if u should read the book first or not because if you didn't read it it'll be more exciting bec u don't know the tricks and twists in the movie; but if u didn't u won't get some parts and/or some jokes!!
Edward Cullen is so cute but isn't what i expected when i read the book!! Bella fits perfectly as in the book!!The rest of the cast fit perfectly to the story too!!

Though I loved the book, the movie was lacking a lot of what made this book so beautiful and compelling. There is not enough development of Bella and Edward's love--much of their story has been condensed, losing the depth of their relationship. Some of my favorite scenes from the book were completely altered or missing. Kristen Stewart's portrayal was weak; instead of being insightful and intelligent, she seems feeble-minded and clueless. Her blinking and sputtering was very distracting and almost comical. I was sad to see my favorite book turned into something so mediocre; don't get me started on the "special" effects. I hope the sequels are done with more attention to detail and more closely-tied and representative of the books.

I absolutely loved it! I had my doubts about the lead actors being able to convey the emotions correctly and about the special effects, but I'll admit that I was wrong and pleasantly surprised with both. The actors did a fantastic job showing all the right emotions even though there was not a lot of time allotted to do so. And the FX weren't as horrible as I thought they were going to be, still corny, but not anything that took away from the movie. The only complaint I have is everything went so quickly, no time to really explain a lot, so I am worried that people who haven't read the book may be a bit confused about some things. But overall I definitely recommend you go see this movie, it's a style unlike anything else you've seen!

I'm a big fan of the books and I thought the movie was pretty good. A two hour movie can't be expected to be as detailed as a 500 page book. At least they did a good job including most of the key scenes and memorable lines from the book. The true test for me is still to come, I'm a wolf fan and I hope the next movie does them justice. For all of you who are being overly critical of the movie, look on the the bright side...Rob Pattinson was a really hot Edward!

Twilight is by far one of my favorite movies i have seen in a while. It is different from the book, they focus more on James, but it still is amazing. I cannot wait to see the up coming movies. It had humor, romance and has gone and taken quotes and scenes from the book but also added extra stuff to the movie to make it even greater. The music was beautiful made and played and the connection between Bella and Edward was right on que. Sensuality was there but not over the top like people were hoping. Edward was the perfect kinght in shining armor and bella was stubborn but the damsel in distress just like the book tells you. It was a great movie and you should definitely go see it!

As a person who has almost finished the Twilight series, I felt this was a wonderful movie. It was easy to recognize the characters and follow the movie. I enjoyed the humor interjected into the movie. My only complaint would be that it moved a little quickly. The portrayal of Edward and Bella's love was very tastefully done and left you anticipating more! Great Job. I will also buy the movie when it becomes available.

I was very happy with the movie! It brought the book to the screen in the best way. The dynamic between Bella and Edward was dead on.
