This movie is great, even if you have not read the book you should go see it. It is not all about vamires, it is a romance film in my opinion. Has action in it. Love it!!!!

This was a wonderful movie! I absolutely LOVED it!!!! The events/scenes fit right with the book. I was a little nervous that it would not meet my expectations, but after seeing it, was VERY pleased with the way the movie was made!

There are only 2 comments I must make. 1) If you have not read the book, you might be confused as the movie doesn't make much sense to a non "Twilight-er." 2) The movie seemed a bit rushed. Things kept happening one after the other too fast. With the movie so fast, it would be hard to understand if you hadn't read the book.

If you read the books, you will absolutely love the movie. There were a few spots in the movie that were a bit disappointing, and a few characters were not matching my vision. I give this movie a 5/5 I loved everything about it, and I can't wait for new moon to go into theaters.

Faithful adaptation of the book

As a fan of the book, I have never seen a more faithful screen adaptation. Loved the book, so I loved the movie.

Casting was excellent. Some surprises were even better than my expectations.

Masterful subtleties in the acting of Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are an inside scoop for readers of the book. Non-readers might miss Edward's changing facial expressions in the cafeteria as he hears thoughts.

It's hard to make a movie based on a book because every reader has their own interpretation. In a movie, you are getting one interpretation--so if often fails. Here, the moviemakers met the challenge head on and succeeded. I can't wait for New Moon!

A Good Start for the Series

Overall, it was an auspicious start, but we hope the sequels will strive to bring out the true excitement the books generate. We liked all the characters except Bella. Although the viewer gets a glimpse of the potentially fiery chemistry between Edward and Bella, Kristen Stewart is too one-dimensional in her first attempt to capture Bella's character. Let's hope she blossoms and shows more range of emotion as time goes on. If you haven't read the book, you would most likely not enjoy the movie as much. It really should have been at least three hours (after all, no one minded sitting through the Harry Potter movies) - we were disappointed that so much of the story was rushed, which detracted from the impact.

I did like the movie. Really love the books, so i was really excited to see the movie. Now I guess you have to take into consideration that it was a low budget film. I felt that the movie felt rushed, lacked character development, that's why people who read the book could follow. They could have had the movie run an extra 30 mins and people would have stayed. This series has a huge following, so I wish they would have done the book better justice. I didn't like the flipping of scenes, or changing where things took place (i.e. where Bella and her dad ate dinner). I think the actors were great, lacked a little direction from the director. But hey hopefully they make enough of this film to do justice to the next film.

I loved it, and it went right along with the book as far as they went, am looking forward to the sequel/series to finish off the 4 books..I have recommended it to friends, and also told them the books are awesome, and the movie went along with the book...please go and see it....

they did a very good job on this movie, trying to make it as close to the book as possible. Some of the dialogue is straight from the book, and a lot of the scenes are exactly how i pictured. Some of the things I was unhappy about would be the scene of them in the meadow, and just the chemistry of bella and edward needed to be perfected. They didn't spend as much time on building a relationship as I would like them to have.
Other than that, a very good movie. but you MUST read the book first to understand and get the full effect of the movie

I really liked it! Robert Pattinson does an amazing job as Edward. Jessica is hilarious in it. People need to realize that the movie can't be exactly like the book.... I thought they did a really good job with it!

Lives up to the book

I loved the movie! I thought they kept it extremely close to the book...just a couple details were switched around. Robert was a great Edward! The ending made me so ready for the sequel I honestly can not wait. I think Stephenie Meyer has to be happy with the way the movie came out. I look forward to this movie making a lot of money so that maybe they'll spend a bit more towards the sequel. I think they definitely could do a lot more with special effects to make it look a bit more realistic when they are flying thru the air. I definitely recommend this movie to anyone who likes a good love story!

It was a really funny movie. One of the favorite lines was "Bella, you got a spella" The baseball scene was my favorite. I think that the girl that played Alice was really good. I really liked Laurant and Emmet. It is awesome!

Alright I have read all the books and I was a little skeptical about the movie..but thats because most times movies suck compared to the limelight of a book...But last night I was quite pleased by the results!! I will have to agree with everyone though, if you have not read the books you will be lost at some places because there are a lot of inside jokes. If you are obsessed about every little detail then dont watch it but plot , storyline and keeping characters true to their authors accomplishments..all provided in this Splenderful movie! One note of caution....beware the squealing teenage girls...they are a quite frightening addition to watching the film...bring a helmet ^_^;

This Movie was extremely well made. Although if you haven't read the book then perhaps you should. By reading the book it gives you a better chance to understand everything that is happening. But besides that the movie was amazing. All the actors took their roles to a whole new level! The action scenes were crazy intense! I def recommend the movie to anyone who likes action and a little romance! Go see it!

Best Movie I've Ever Seen!

This was everything I was hoping for and more. Of course, I'm a fan of the books, so I've been looking forward to this for awhile now. It was as good as the book! Of course, there were some scenes I missed in the movie, but they did manage to cram a lot into two hours! The good thing about this is it does stand on its own. You don't have to be a fan of the books to be able to understand what's going on in the movie. I think they did a very good job doing that. Great job!! I can't wait for New Moon!

Twilight was amazing! THere were many parts that I would have like to have seen more emphasized that were in the book, not in the movie. But, it could have been 4 hours long in that case! I wish the Piano/lullaby scene was better. The actors who played the Cullens were absolutely perfect!!!

In Love with Twilight.

As a big fan of the Twilight saga, I went into the movie with mixed expectations since I know it's not easy to adapt a much beloved book into movie form. However, the movie was great and i think that Catherine Harwicke and the others, did a great job staying true to the book. All of the actors were amazing and completely did justice to their characters ..... My heart fluttered every time Rob Pattinson was on the screen!!! .....and the setting was just how i pictured in the books.
There were a few technical things that i would change but they didn't distract too much from the movie itself. I definitely will be seeing it again and can hardly wait for the DVD and the next movie to come out !!!!!

Well, you should definitely read the twilight saga before seeing this movie! The actors all did wonderful, it is of course impossible to portray Stephenie Meyer's vampires, but they did a great job! I can't wait till all the books are movies :)

I've read the books and LOVE them, but I can honestly say if you aren't a fan of Twilight already, there's a good chance you won't understand the movie or like it very much. The movie is heavily condensed from the book with many inconsistencies (all the cars are wrong for instants).

After reading the book, I had high expectations. I'm not sure why though. It was a book for teenagers, and the movie followed suit- a movie for teenagers. It was enjoyable, but not great. The acting (especially Bella) could have been better. I wish they would have let the poor girl smile once in the movie. She was too solemn and overly serious for a teenage girl. I would recommend the movie to my teenage neice- she'd love it.

"Twilight" was amazing. Not as good as the book, obviously, but still incredibly enjoyable with solid acting performances. As long as you don't expect the utter perfection of the book, and can deal with a little bit of cheesiness, you'll love it!

One of my new faves

This movie was better than I expected. I expected to be disappointed after reading the book. I couldn't imagine the book being captured properly and feeling the same things, but amazingly, I felt alot of the same things!! Edward is gorgeous, (but so is Robert Pattinson) and Hollywood did a really great job keeping to the details. All of the pertinant lines from the book were there like "Maybe I'm not the hero, maybe I'm the bad guy." and others. Stephanie Meyer is a really excellent author for Hollywood to not change up her book like they usually do other books. This is more than just a movie.

I am a HUGE fan of Twilight and have read all of the books multiple times. This movie was absolutely WONDERFUL. Of course, it strayed from the book a little bit, but hey, it's a movie! They can't fit an exact 500 page book into a movie! I must admit I found some of the beginning scenes a little awkward, but by the end, it was PERFECT. I especially loved the scene at the ballet studio and the scene at the baseball field. GO SEE TWILIGHT!

I am an avid fan of the books so I was very skeptical about seeing this movie. For once, a movie based on a very good book did not disappoint. While there were some changes made to the story in the book, the essential important points were still there. The actors did a fabulous job of portraying the characters and the acting was well-done and, at times, very intense. If you can get past the screaming girls in the audience and just focus on the movie itself, you will have an enjoyable time.

Simply Sweet

I'm an avid fan and reader of the Twilight series. I love the story and of course Edward Cullen. I was a bit skeptical walking into this because almost every movie that was once a book is somehow misinterpreted when it comes onto the big screen. Not Twilight. There are slight differences from the book to the movie, but for the most part, the movie follows the book quite well. Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson really capture the innocent yet awkward first love between Bella and Edward. I totally recommend it, its really a very sweet film and great adaptation.

Awesome Movie

We loved the movie!! I would recommend reading the book before going to the movie so you know what's really going on. The characters were very close to what I'd imagined they should be. Edward and Bella were great, James was amazing! We will see it again and can't wait for the DVD!!!! Even Jacob was good! (but I am definitely on Team Edward!)
