A Good Start for the Series

Overall, it was an auspicious start, but we hope the sequels will strive to bring out the true excitement the books generate. We liked all the characters except Bella. Although the viewer gets a glimpse of the potentially fiery chemistry between Edward and Bella, Kristen Stewart is too one-dimensional in her first attempt to capture Bella's character. Let's hope she blossoms and shows more range of emotion as time goes on. If you haven't read the book, you would most likely not enjoy the movie as much. It really should have been at least three hours (after all, no one minded sitting through the Harry Potter movies) - we were disappointed that so much of the story was rushed, which detracted from the impact.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
