The movie had a lot of humorous moments (some very cliche but overall pretty funny). It was little different from the book but I guess it's hard to put everything from the book into a 2 hour movie. Overall it was a pretty good movie.. Having Robert Pattinson as eye candy was a plus!!!!

I think the movie was as good as it could have been- the acting, the music, cinematography, direction, etc. Everything about it was great. I just had a hard time figuring out if it would have been as good if you didn't read the books. I think you had to have read them in order to fully appreciate it, otherwise I don't think the average movie-goer would really get it. However, I read all the books and was as excited as my 13 yr old daughter about it, and I really loved it (and Edward Cullen- glad he's not really 17!!!)

I was terribly disappointed by this movie; it was so bad that it was funny. The writing was poor and only exacerbated the overacting of the main characters. Pattinson couldn't act for his life - it was laughable. I loved the books but thought that the movie changed things quite a bit. If they make any of the other books into movies it will be highly unlikely that I will see them.

If you liked the book you will LOVE the movie. They do a really great job at shortening the story in a way that works for the movie but also in a way that makes sense for the book. The actors who play all the characters are absolutely PERFECT and I'm positive if you love the Twilight series this movie will not let you down, its AMAZING go see it!

Since i didnt readon the book before seeing i did see myself kinda lost somepoint and details bet yet it was great becuase i didnt know what was going to happen like everybody that had read it. If you read the book you must go see it and if you havent still do and read it to compare!!! = ))

I thought this movie was great, but I must warn against going if you have not read the books. The movie does not have the character development it needs for a great love story. It moves fast and Your not sure why Bella falls in love with Edward after meeting him once. Fortunately for those of us who read the books we get it. We understand her obsession. There is of course parts left out and little differences here or there but I will tell you if you read the books you will LOVE this movie.

The movie was excellent. It followed the book tremendously. The movie did the book justice and brought it to life. The actors were incredible and the director did an outstanding job. I'd go see it a dozen more times.

I went into the movie knowing that yes it is low budget, yes you can't completely take every aspect of a book and accurately portray it on screen. However, it coulda been done better - Kristen Stewart tries so hard to be deep that her emotions looks strained and fake, Robert Pattison was over the top on emotion - half the time the poor guy looks like he needs an enema.
Even if I took out the acting problems I have with pretty much the whole cast - it was still bad. The entire movie moved TOO fast and most of it was out of sequence. Plus they added thing that were absurd, I mean come on, since when would Edward ever put Bella on his back and climb up a ridiculously high tree or push her down on the bed to kiss her??
No, I do not recommend this movie.

The movie was poorly shot and badly-directed. It was like a cut-and-paste version of the book with far too many slow-motion moments to show off badly-conceived and poorly-executed special "effects." None of the characters were believable, except for the father, played by Billy Burke.

This movie was amazing. I never read the book and i heard its not the same as the book but it was still intense. I love the love story. And it had something for everyone. The guys got their action scene and the girls had EDWARD!!! lol.. Im going 2 start the book soon.

Horrible...Very disappointed ... I want my money back. Why the Robert Pattinson had a hairy chest and arms, his skin is supposed to be like marble i just could not get pass that ....wax next time. The only thing they got right were the cars. The acting could have been a lot better and what was up with all the scenes they added that did not happen in the book. A great disappointment and a big let down for fan of the books. By far the worst movie I've ever seen, don't waste your money.

I was truly looking forward to the movie after reading the series. I was bored during the first part of the movie, and it wasn't until the middle of the movie that I started to feel some "movie adaptation" redemption. I feel for these actors because the editing was awful. Whoever edited this film, did not spend much time or thought on flow. I think for the next film (if one is in fact produced) that they need to get a new director, film editor, and a new writer. This film did not do justice to Ms. Meyer's books. Now with all this said... I did "enjoy" the film. I know that they were working with a very limited budget. I am going to see it again to see if I come out of it with different feelings.

I went into the movie thinking I wouldn't like Kristen Stewart's acting and the low-budget special effects that the critics kept ranting on about. Well, Kristen Stewart won me over right away as the moody new kid in the constantly rain-soaked and atmospheric town of Forks. The story was not about vampires flying and doing battle, it was about the love story between Bella and Edward--nothing more nothing less. If you want special effects, pop in your copy of Transformers when you get home. Can't wait til the next movie!

I've read all the books, so I was pretty disappointed with the movie. There were too many things changed from the book to the movie. I was, however, surprised to see Stephenie Meyer in the movie. What a nice surprise! My teenage son watched the movie and has never read the books, so he liked the movie.

I think if you loved the book series you will love the movie. Even though the movie did not adhere to many of the lines used in the book, I believe the screenplay helped move the story along without getting too deep. The one thing that I am not sure about is if you had not read the book if it would have delivered as a good movie on its own. But having read all the books, it brings alot of richness to the movie experience. I would recommend reading the book and then seeing the movie for the full effect.

I waited for 5 months for the movie to hit theatres and stood in line for an hour and a half to see it on the big screen opening night. The movie was good, it hit most of the major points in the book, however I would have liked for them to go more into the history of the Cullen family and I wish they would have shown Bella as a little more average...I can't wait for the next movie to come out as they left it wide open for NEW MOON!!

'Twilight' was a great movie. There are some things that I wish they would of added from the book but what book fan doesn't think that. Kristen and Rob portrayed their roles and Bella and Edward very well and I think they the movie went thru smoothly adding in as much information they thought was needed. I would recommend this to others especially as a date movie, even my husband enjoyed it.

omg! i went to go watch it yesterday-11.21.08 i am a BIG fan of the twilight series! so of course i had read the book before the movie, i would recommend to read it before you watch it. my friend said she rather read it after because the whole time i kept telling her: "oh that wasn't in the book" LOL. in the movie they didn't really go detail by detail. i think they moved too fast and they also changed it a bit, but other than that...i think the movie was GREAT! i can't wait til new moon, eclipse, breaking dawn, and midnight sun come out :)

By halfway through the movie we knew we would want to see it again. It wasn't too different from the book to be a turnoff. Knowing the entire 4 book story and then watching it begin to play itself out on screen was just beyond words. The chemistry between Bella and Edward on screen was everything it needed to be. CANNOT WAIT FOR THE NEXT MOVIE CHAPTER.

I loved the movie. I thought it was great but you should definitley read the book first to really understand it. It jumps around a lot but you have to remember that they are trying to fit an 800 page book into a two hour movie. I think it really could have been a three of maybe even a four hour movie. I loved the actors and thought they did great casting the parts. I'm hoping they proceed with the next three books.

Twilight was an ah-mazing movie. While it was quite different from the books i thought it was portrayed wonderfully. The actors did a fantastic job and i highly reccomend this movie to everyone.

Beautiful movie! Cinematography was great - the change of pace keeps you very engaged. It really helped to have read all the books otherwise you might not understand the little nuances. Like why Rosalie has such a chip on her shoulder! Or the 'looks' Edward gives.
The audience truly had fun at this movie as did my 19 yr old daughter and I. We would definitely see it again.

So, I was expecting them to completely mess this thing up; let's face it, movie makers generally do mess up our favorite books when they turn into movies. I was excited for it anyway, and so of course I went to see it. I was pleasantly surprised. They did an excellent job and everyone's acting was very good. They pretty much stayed true to the book and overall, I highly recommend this and I thought that it was phenomenal.

Ok so even though it didn't go exactly by the book (which would have been absolutely impossible) it was extremely good. Robert Pattinson took my breath away as Edward. The few things that I would have done to make it better were fix-up the meadow scene, add the scene about the blood drawing in class, and have Kristen show more emotion as Bella. If you walk into the movie with an open mind and don't constantly freak out about the differences between the book and the movie then you'll really enjoy it.
