Since I knew the book front to back finally seeing the movie left me a little disappointed seeing how they changed a lot of its content. I watched it a second time and it was actually better, they could have done a lot more with the dialogue and action scenes, but they'll do.

Took my 14 yr old daughter & her b/f. We all loved it, and enjoyed the crowd as much as the movie. I would have to say it's just as popular as Harry Potter if not more-so. They will definately make the 2nd and 3rd movies. Cant imagine why not. There are 3 more books already.... Great books, wonderful movie. And I am 39 yrs old and I still got a kick out of it. I would have to say that reading the books first is an immense help at understanding all of the underlaying emotions and tensions. You could be a bit lost otherwise. Two thumbs up!

I truly enjoyed this movie! The casting of the characters was awesome, Edward was everything I could have hoped he would be- you could totally feel the chemistry between Bella and Edward!
The book was a lot to pack into a movie, I think it was well done. When the movie was over, I wanted more Edward and Bella-I am anxiously awaiting the sequel!

I HOPED 4 a decent portrayal. And my hopes were met. I went with my husband and he LOVED it. The beginning of the film is fast in order to get to the good stuff. I was worried about the KISS, it was PERFECT!! I was worried about the baseball and sparkle scene. The sparkle scene was a little cheesy but I was quite satisfied with the outcome. The baseball scene...not long enough, I wanted more. Now the second trip we took my cousin who had NOT read the books and there were bits that he did not get. Like why Edward grabbed his nose and glared at her like he hated her the first day in Biology. And also why he stared at her confused during lunch before Biology. I had to explain to him.

This was is the best movie that I have ever seen, and probably on the list of the best I will ever see. It is a blend of drama, romance, and action, and you can definetely see that the director didn't use any cheap illusions or anything of that genre in this film.

I have read all four of the books in the twilight series and I loved all of them. The movie was everything I imagined in the book and it was awesome to see everything come to life!! Bravo the the cast and crew for putting together an AMAZING movie!!

I was obsessing over this movie for months: I read the series three times, waited 11 hours on a mall floor for Rob for the Twilight Tour in Boston, and it was all I could talk about for months. But I left the theater feeling empty and thinking, "Really?! That's it?"
It missed a few parts, the romance itself was rushed, but it followed the book relatively well. TWILIGHT IS NOT A COMEDY, so why am I, and everyone in the theater, laughing? The tone of the movie was empty and depressing--the lullaby they picked just makes me wonder if Edward wanted Bella to commit suicide rather than show his love for her. It was the way it was filmed, edited, and the music (the flashback scene was ridiculous and had the worst song over it) that made it bad.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

I have read the books of Twilight and was looking forward to a movie that if not exactly parallel to the story, at least bringing the words to life. The characters are pretty much what I pictured they would be, but the story between Bella and Edwards was a little bit....well ridiculous. The script went from good to bad to accidentally funny. Some things that happen just didn't make sense and caused a serious scene to become almost cheesy. This didn't follow through the the whole movie though. Most of the movie did its job. The main characters were cast well when it came to looking the part. But I will say some acting was lackluster. I don't think the Twilight fan in me will say out loud that I exactly dislike the movie, but it was decent.

I have to admit... just like the book the movie started out kind of slow. However, the ending was phenomenal. It leaves you like the book did, wanting more! I do believe that they could have put a little more of the initial courtship into the design of the movie. I was left with wanting to see more of that. I really liked how they showed the changes in the eye color too. The "diamond" effect was awesome and was very similar to what I had imagined. The who concept of the movie was very close to what I had imagined! I highly recommend it to everyone.

I LOVE the books and when I saw it the fist time I was so concerned about how it would be adapted that I didnt really give myself the chance to enjoy it. Dont get me wrong, I still loved it but I think I felt I was missing something. That was my love of the book talking and we all know they had to delete/change parts of it for it to work. So I went to see it again today with that perspective and it was just awsome! I can's wait to see it again - especially with the annoucement that came today from the studio that the next book has gotten the green light!

I've already taken my daughter to see it 3 times in the past 24 hours with plans to see it again during Thanksgiving break. I absolutely loved all 4 books and was very excited to see the movie. The casting was done very well and the chemistry between Kristen and Rob was amazing. Catherine and her team did a great job putting 500 pages into a 2 hour time frame and did Stephanie's book justice. I can't wait for the New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn to appear on the big screen.

I only wish that I would have felt the connection of chemistry between Edward and Bella as I did when I read the book. Also, I wish that Alice and Jasper had as big of part in the movie as they do in the book. Also, Jasper looked constipated during his scenes. I did enjoy the movie, just wish there were some things different. My friends and I will go see it again. Way to go, Stephanie!!

i loved this movie. i still think the book was better, i think they did a very good job. i also think that they did a very good casting job. at first i thought that they didnt do too good on edward, but after i saw the movie...omg. I normally would hold a five star review in reserve for something profound, soul-stirring, and incisive, that changes the way we think about cinema...
Heck with that. Twilight is fun. I'd say it's a guilty little thrill, but I feel exactly zero guilt indulging in this fluffy, off-kilter love story.
Pattison IS Edward Cullen, and smokin' hot to boot. Stewart's delivery as Bella is refreshingly frank and unfettered. The chemistry between them is white hot. Alice looks like she strolled out of the pages, and Jacob's sweet smile leaves me salivating for a sequel.
The movie is just like the book, which is just like potato chips. Hey, it's not haute cuisine. But don't you deserve to just have fun?

I have read Twilight 9 times exactly, and have gotten many friends interested. Normally, and all my friends agree, movies based on books stink! Not in this case though; Twilight was packed with people when i saw it and i can see why. My friend does not believe in seeing movies twice, but Twilight was acception. Catherine Hardwick and Melissa Rosenberg caught the essance of the book. Plus, all the characters have such good chemistry. Two thumbs for Twilight! Good Job Summit!

Not sure that I would recommend this movie to just anyone, I think that it might have hit me better if I had NOT read the books, I left the movie theater not at all impressed with it. I had asked some of my friends that hadn't read the books and they said it was ok. I am sorry to said it, but I loved the books and even the trailier that were out, but there was just something missing from the movie, maybe it was just the way that even the actors came acrossed as not really happy to be there, but I will give it another try and see if I change, but if your a lover of the books, and you have high expectations, don't go, it would just be 2 hrs of wasted time.

This movie was the best movie I have ever seen. I have read the entire Twilight Saga and plan on reading her 5th book if it's ever published. The movie left out some stuff that happened in the book, but all together the movie was perfect and way better than I ever expected! You should definitely see this movie. As a mom of a Twi-hard tween, I read the book as well and enjoyed seeing it unfold on the big screen. I only have two who are old enough to enjoy the movie but I felt they did a great job of keeping as true to the book as possible without disappointing the tween squealers in the theatre! The crowd cheered and interacted with the movie and I felt even those who had never read the book enjoyed it as well. I have always felt Kristen Stewart to be an up and coming actress that was well before her time and everyone was casted perfectly. The movie should make plenty enough money to spend more on special effects next time for book #2's movie. Loved Stephenie's cameo as well. Great job Catherine Hardwicke!

When i saw the trailers for this movie, I thought It wouldn't be interesting for adults. I thought it would be more for the ages of 10 - 16 but my daugher kept bugging me to see it so I decided to go see it with her on November 21. After I was finished watching it, I became a fan myself. I never expected twilight to be such an amazing movie! I would definetly recommend this to people who love vampires or people who are looking for a movie with comedy, thrills, drama, and love. I am definetly going to see this in theaters again and buy the DVD. I am also excited to see the sequel to Twilight, New Moon. Keep on rocking it twilighters!
