I normally would hold a five star review in reserve for something profound, soul-stirring, and incisive, that changes the way we think about cinema...
Heck with that. Twilight is fun. I'd say it's a guilty little thrill, but I feel exactly zero guilt indulging in this fluffy, off-kilter love story.
Pattison IS Edward Cullen, and smokin' hot to boot. Stewart's delivery as Bella is refreshingly frank and unfettered. The chemistry between them is white hot. Alice looks like she strolled out of the pages, and Jacob's sweet smile leaves me salivating for a sequel.
The movie is just like the book, which is just like potato chips. Hey, it's not haute cuisine. But don't you deserve to just have fun?
I really didn't have high hopes for this one - I thought the first one was good, and they should have left it at that. I was pleasantly surprised - fast-paced, and always exciting. We had a great time. ^_^
