I was thoroughly impressed, i'm a huge fan of stephanie myer and have read all of the books multiple times. the first time I watched the movie, i focused too much on comparing to the visual in my mind, but the second time, it was much better. Robert Pattinson has some odd expressions at times, Kristen Stewart did an amazing job, I was very impressed at how well she filled the roll. It seemed rather cheesy from even an insider perspective and didn't seem to fully capture how intense their romance was. Even with that, I thoroughly enjoyed this movie and will probably see it a third time before it reaches dvd. =o)

I loved the movie! i was actually drgged to it. now please no gasping but untilthis past monday i had never heard of twilight before. this movie definately makes me want to go buy the books! i love that the vampires sparkle instead of burning from sunlight! it makes me happy haha! bring your boyfriends and when edward come up point to the screen and say "you need to act like him!" of course looking like him wouldnt hurt either....

Considering Twilight was adapted from a book, it was probably as good as it gets. But if you're a devout follower of the series like I am, don't have high hopes. It was a lot worse than I had hoped. Key scenes of the movie were destroyed and it was just not good. Definitely not how I imagined it. Robert Pattison is attractive, but his portrayal of Edward Cullen was not very chivalrous or soft. He was scary. I get that this was a part of his role, but he calmed down for Bella in the book. The meadow scene was slaughtered and his "glowing skin" looked like a disastrous case of sweating. I understand that they tried, and it wasn't that bad, just don't expect to be blown away.

The movie made no sense. It really didn't flow well and the end was awful. It just left you hanging and seemed like it was specifically left that way to leave it open for a sequel. Ugh!

I thought the adaptation for the book was wonderful! There was certain things that i was worried about like Edward sparkling like diamonds, intergration of the music, direct lines from the book! They did a great job putting my worries at ease! I was extremely happy on how everyone in the movie interacted with each other. Especially the chemistry you see between Rob and Kristen. One other thing i was glad about was that the movie has some sense of humor as well and that made up for the intense interactions between Bella and Edwards characters...it really balanced everything out! I was very satisfied and hope others feel close or the same way as i do!

I just read the first book a week ago. I saw the movie trailers and it peaked my interest. I read the book in 3 days and have started the 2nd. I thought the movie was very good. The cast did a fine job although the novel is better because you are using your own reference points and imagination. I am hoping there will be sequels made of the other books. It is a great love story.

Absolutely wonderful! The special effects are awesome. They really looked like they were moving at top speed. Robert and Cam and Taylor are stunningly beautiful to look at!

I have learned to expect the worse when a book adaptation hits the big screen, so I was very happy with Twilight. I absolutely adored Rob Pattinson, in fact I left the theater completely infatuated him with. I loved his expressions, his mannerisms, his awkwardness, he was Edward. Stewart was so-so, she seemed to carry the same facial expression, but it kind of worked for the character.

My mom and I have been obsessing over this movie since Feb or March, after reading the books and falling in love with the world Stephenie Meyers created. We have scoured the internet on pretty much a nightly basis for months trying to find any little tidbit of video footage from the movie. The trailers have been fantastic and the movie lived up to our expectations and surpassed it in some areas. It will never be as satisfying as the book with 500 pages of content but the movie put across the message of the love between two very polarized characters. We wish Twilight would have been explained as in the book and we also wish the explanation of Alice's creation would have been explained. Hope New Moon is created and released fast!

I loved this book series and could hardly wait until the movie came out. I went to see the movie with my friend that got me hooked on the books to start with. The movie did not disappoint. It wasn't as good as the books, but as a diehard fan, I will own this movie and early await the release of the next movies.

As I sat down to watch the film I entered not knowing what to expect and when I exited I couldn't even breathe. I was breathless. This movie is amazing and interesting. In comparison with the book it was on point. Even though some scenes alterered away from the book it flowed evenly in a sense that kept my moods from being upset.

I went to the midnight show on Thursday and thought it was great! It was so much like the book that I was not disappointed at all. The chemistry between Bella and Edward was amazing. I also went to the Friday night show and the energy in the theatre was electric. Everyone reacted strongly to the movie in many ways (oohs, ahhhs, screams, etc.) It was the most exciting movie I have ever gone to - and I will probably go again. Can't wait til it comes out on DVD - and will go to the midnight show for the next movie!! Highly recommend to any romantic sou!

I'm a little at odds with the film. I felt it was done well, true to the book and the actors played their roles brilliantly; though, I felt the love story was not developed enough. The love between Edward and Bella in the film was not very believable and left those who have not read the books only seeing the surface of their relationship (which without knowing where their love truly stems from by reading the books, looks like a big ball of cheese). Plus, I have to agree with the critics, the special effects were just embarrassing. As I said, there were aspects that were executed very well, and then there were aspects done a little half-assed. I think if this film had a larger budget it had the potential of being brilliant.

OMG I loved this movie! I've read every book and I was looking forward to the movie. It didn't disappoint! If it had been exactly like the book, it would have been way too long so I loved what they did with it. The baseball scene, and the end ballet studio scene were my favorites. And I loved the way they set it up perfectly for the next book/movie. I can't wait until they come out with New Moon! All in all, the subtracted parts weren't super important and the added parts really summed up the movie. The intense parts were intense and the light parts were light and the funny parts were hilarious. Go Edward, Go Bella, and Go Cullens!!!

I thought this movie was awesome! Of course its not as great as the books but for people who haven't read the book i think you will get the gist of it. Everyone is hot in that movie its crazy. The story is good as is the acting and would definately would recomend it to a friend its a great spin on an epic love story.

Maybe my expectations were high but I was disappointed with the movie. The positive: it was funny & some scenes were good: Edward's sunglasses scene, the intimate dinner scene, in the Cullen's kitchen. There are some things that I can get over: the field trip, bad makeup (esp. Carlisle), Edward calling Bella a spidermonkey (which I thought was hilarious). What I can’t get over: the destroyed meadow scene, the lack of Edward & Bella's love, fast paced & short scenes, cheesy & corny acting. I don't understand how anyone who read the book could compare it to this horrific imitation. I wouldn't mind if the movie was actually decent. Sadly people who read or didn't read the book will be disappointed. It's a shame how this movie turned out.

I watched Twilight ‘as a movie’ and removed the books from my mind. Frankly, I was let down on both counts. Bella and Edward constantly sound constipated, stiff, and awkward together. The only time they really meshed was in scenes where they were talking, but there was no audio. If you didn’t go into the movie already knowing the story, you were left confused; they cram in trivia, but then leave essential things out. It’s also incredibly rushed. Character and relationship development = zero. Good point? The baseball scene.
Long story short, movie did not sufficiently cater to a book fan or a movie-goer. Actually, had I seen the movie first, I would never have picked up the book.

OMT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(oh my twilight) this movie exceeded all my expectations. I loved it so much. I expected it to be mostly serious but some parts were hilarious.
Mike in the window...i was just not expecting that. It was so random and the funniest thing in the world.
I think that some parts just didn't flow right. I didn't like how the woods scene went right into the meadow. Oh and i hated how Edward reacted with Bella's scent.
Overall i loved this movie to death and i can't wait for New Moon and the dvd for Twilight.
i hope everyone will see this movie whether they have read twilight or not. This is a movie for everybody and for everybody to love.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching Twilight. Very close to the book, even though it had it's differences. Fantastic cast! Wasn't overdone with special effects. Very visually appealing. Overall, a wonderful movie. Would gladly watch a second time!

I thought that the over-all expectation of this movie was right-on..I will say it was alittle different from what I was expecting..(low-budgeted, alot of additives not in book) BUT...could NOT have chosen a more perfect "EDWARD"(Rob Pattinson) was expecting Kristin Stewart to flop, but she exceeded her acting skill..felt alot like READING the book..GOOD TIME!
