Hands down the best movie I have seen this year. It had a combinatoin of action, suspence, and comedy. Great movie, the wait was definetely worth it! The fight scenes were awesome!

I was constantly amazed by the AWESOMENESS of the action and the use of the special effects. I'd be lying if i said that i've seen better effects used. Best action movie i have ever seen.the script was also funny at times and refreshingly witty. I would recommend it to anyone. I'm actually planning on watching it 2 more times or so.:) Imma get it on dvd too.SPECIAL EDITION DVD.:)

The movie is enjoyable with it's action packed stunts through out the movie and the story behind it.
However, the rating system is accurate for this movie. Parents, do not bring your 12 year old or younger to this movie. Not only is the movie inappropriate for the child, their short attention spans and inexperienced minds will not be sustained long enough for the surrounding adults in the movie theater to enjoy the movie. It is evident this movie is not for kids 12 or younger.

I thought this was an excellent movie. The special effects were great. I took my children and noticed that there was a lot more bad language used and more adult referrences, but I knew the rating before hand. I just had more to explain after the movie. We all enjoyed it and can not wait until it is released on DVD for purchase.

I really did not think I would like this movie because I'm not really into "Transformers." I was thoroughly entertained for the entire 2 1/2 hrs! I even enjoyed it sitting in the very front row (which I had to do because the theater was so crowded!)

Transformers is an adrenaline-packed movie that takes the viewer around the world battling the evil Decepticons. The family drama, romantic tension and new canon to Transformers add to the depth. Combat is CGI-charged, with non-steadicam camera work setting the tense, battlefield action, with occasional Matrix bullet-time shots to emphasize key moments. Even then, it can be a bit much to absorb everything that's happening with all the moving parts (no pun intended). Humor lightens a gritty atmosphere. My biggest gripe is Bay's lack of geographical accuracy, distracting slightly from the film. Critics should take this movie for what it is rather than expecting "Saving Private Ryan" with giant robots.

this bloated excuse of a Hollywood strike picture is just oozing at the seams with meaningless plot points and characters, with an ending so asinine i actually strained my eyeballs from rolling them so hard
the fight scenes were blurry messes of metal, but on the rare occasions that they actually slowed it down, the shots and blows were amazing.
unfortunately, they wasted more slow-mo on Megan fox than on any of the autobots.
i think the biggest disappointment was the level of crude humor bordering on straight out vulgarity. dog/robot humping and the most racist portrayal i have ever seen in a summer tentpole feature.
why Michael Bay? is the only question i think of.
well, that and, why would anyone sit through this twice.

It is a little long to have a child sit thru at 2 1/2 hours but any pre-teen or adult will find it fun. Has something for everyone: action, romance, comedy.

I took my grandson to this movie and we both loved it. It was funny and exciting all at the same time. I don't recommend it for younger children though it is a little mature in its content. Still a really great afternoon of fun for all the family.

I expected alot of action from a Michael Bay movie, however, it seemed almost to much. It became overwhelming to the story line & visually. It was difficult to keep up with at times. There was quite a bit of adult humor (adult scenes, nothing too overt) & some cussing (particularly from Mom, which actually made her character funny & endearing). If you've a problem explaining that to younger kids, you may want to wait for the DVD. We took our 5/7 yr old boys & 12 yr old girl. The interaction of Mom/Dad were great! Funny & touching throughout the movie. We all loved that the Marines were back! All in all, everyone enjoyed it. If you take it for what it is you'll have fun!

OK I recommend this on the strength of the movie overall, despite some of it's shortcomings.
The twins were a waste of time. I felt about them the same I felt about Jar Jar Binks. Lame attempt at humor that was completely off base.
Some of the jokes and words were not really family friendly, and given the age of some of the kids seated in my vicinity, felt really inappropriate.
As far as the movie as a whole, it had some really great action scenes, some genuinely funny moments, and the story focused more on the the history of the Autobots and Decpticons, which was nice.
So overall if you are a fan of the first one, you should enjoy this one as well.

Sequels are hardly ever as good as the originals. And while this movie wasn't bad, it also wasn't as amazing as the 1st movie. It did have many moments which made me laugh (like the 1st) & some good action sequences (like the 1st), but the plot WAS hard to follow/lacking (unlike the 1st) & WAS too long (unlike the 1st which flew by). I didn't feel like it was too long until the last scenes. The stuff in the desert takes WAY too long. They could have cut down & NOT added all the special effects just to show off. Plus, the ending was too abrupt & left me with quite a few questions/unresolved issues. It was a good movie, & one I was glad to see in theaters, but not one I would see again in theaters. Nothing you have to see opening day.

As expected. Cheesy lines, Corny Love Story, More Cheesy Lines. They should stick less to talking and more to the action. The special effects were good but I felt like most of the story line was given to the budding relationship between Megan Fox and Shia and not the actual plot which was if i'm correct - about the Transformers as that is the title of the movie and last time I checked the reason the movie was originally made. If I wanted to see a chick flick i'd go watch something w/Drew Barrymore in it.
Overall, its fair - nothing spectacular.
