We went with 9 girls for my daughter's 7th birthday. Everyone loved it including my husband and myself. Eddie Murphy is always a treat and the little girl who played his daughter was adorable. It is a definite great pick for the kids. Can't wait to own it on DVD.

It was good. Eddie Murphy really acted well in this movie. It shows a family that's separated, love, kindness and what all dad's have to go through to have a job. This movie it's not for all kind of people. But I will actuallly recommend it.

First of all, don’t hate me for my opinion of ‘Imagine That’. I’m just being honest. Anyone can love the movie if they wish, and I won’t complain, but for me it was nothing but a big cheesy cornball. Eddie Murphy had two modes - either boring and flat, or a bit crazy and ridiculous. Nothing like he was in ‘Meet Dave’, which had a similar theme, but I thought was much better. I agree with the imaginary princesses in this movie that left near the end because according to them ‘he (Murphy’s character) was boring.’ I think it might play better to kids, but I’m not sure. I think it would have worked better if it had been on television with a laugh track added.

Imagine that. A story that will appeal to kids and parents also, Imagine that. A movie that will make you laugh with your kids out loud Imagine that. A movie that finally allows Eddie to find his family comedy acting chops Imagine that. It was nice seeing Ronny Cox on screen again also as something other then Bogemiller. My kids gave it 4 stars, I'll give it 3. My daughter did not need to go to the bathroom at all, which goes well with the way I rate this movie, but she did fall asleep on me. My son 12 went to bathroom 3 times.

I was looking for entertainment for my 11 year old and this was good enough. Eddie Murphy is (as usual) over the top but the idea of seeing a workaholic daddy and his lonely daughter brought back together sold me. My 11 yr. old enjoyed it and the little girl in the movie is adorable. Nothing objectionable in it for the youngest crowd and not a waste of time like the movie "Mall Cop" was that I saw last week!

My daughter liked the film. I thought it was a tad on the silly, inconsequential side. My wife did not make any comment either way.
The theme of the busy father who neglects his job as a parent in favor of his job as a bread winner for his family is a tired theme. The PC view is that such a father is a monster that will cause his children irreparable damage. Even allowing for that extreme view, this film still fails, because the Eddie Murphy character is actually a father who both tries and succeeds in managing both jobs, so what lesson is he being taught?
Acting is superb, as expected from a first rate cast.

Eddie Murphy carries this movie as a no nonsense all business A type that finds himself having to get in touch with his inter child. I enjoyed the hour and a half, more importantly, my 7 year old granddaughter enjoyed it! And I was happy to be able to share that time with her. It is very refreshing to see a movie suitable for childern and adults that plays to the heart with humor that doesn't have to rely on shock value for a laugh.

This was more of a young adult to older adult movie. Younger children wouldn't understand really what's going on in the movie. The whole movie plot is based on a divorced work-aholic financial accountant father who takes advantage of his young daughter's imaginary friends to get higher up the corporate ladder. But in the end he finally realizes the father bond he has and what his ex-wife was telling him all along.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

This movie was ok. I felt I had seen this plot hundreds of times. My kids all (8,8, and 6) said they liked it, but in regards to all the financial information in the movie, they continually asked me what it all meant. All of the actors did fine it was just the same old plot. I would not choose to see it again or recommend it to others.
