I have always enjoyed musical even when they do not have much of a plot. I thought the singing and dancing were very entertaining and is that not worth going to see. I do not think that every movie that is made, needs a message to be worth while. I did not know that Dam Dench and Daniel Day lewis could sing. When I saw Mr Day-Lewis in Telluride he was such a laid back person. I thought he did his charecter well. He conformed to what most people think a director would be like. Hudson and Kidman were great. Cruz is exquisive
Yes, I recommend this movie.

The film version of Nine scores some base hits and a number of misses. The 'hits' Daniel Day-Lewis, Marion Cotillard, Nicole Kidman, Penelope Cruz and Judi Dench and some very poignant non-musical scenes. Best musical numbers belong to Marion Cotillard, Nicole Kidman--they look and feel genuine and they are well sung and photographed. Also Judy Dench's Follies number. Fergie is excellent but one dimensional. The misses: The sensuality dynamics were over-done and over-choreographed--especially true for Penelope Cruz' and Kate Hudson's respective #'s. I longed for more subtlety; some choreography was simply offensive.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

The movie had great coreography and dance scenes. However, that was not enough to carry a storyline that was difficult to follow. The ending was anticlimatic and did nothing for the audience.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Take a hit Broadway music tailor-made for a film adaption - cut out all the good songs and replace with bad ones to cover up the perfromer's vocal shortcomings, rewrite the entire plot so that it makes no sense and film everything like a MTV video - this is the recipe that sunk what should have been a slam-dunk. Fergie comes out unscathed. Penelope Cruz, Nicole Kidman and Sophie Loren can at least carry a tune. Judi Dench can barely sing and let alone dance. The true winner here was Antonio Banderas whose perfromance in the 2003 Broadway remains the benchmark and he was spared being embarassed by this poorly executed mess.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

There is very little dramatic tension in this film. You don't care about the lead character and he ends up unchanged. While Daniel can sing, I think he was miscast as the lothario. If you loved "Chicago," see "Chicago" again... not this. I fell asleep, something I never do in films.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Maury Yeston is a musical force to be reckoned with. Great choreography and sets. Sensual to say the least. After Penelope Cruz I need a cigarette. Fergie's solo powerful. Marion Cotillard, passionate yet vulnerable and believable. Daniel Day-Lewis walks a tightrope of emotions with ease. Sophia Loren? Always had it, always will.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

NINE is a greatly entertaining movie! Filled with great music and dance and a wonderfully created wardrobe. Glamorously talanted star studded cast will keep you completely mesmerized all through the movie.
I would strongly recommend everyone to go see it. I would like to see it again and would like to get my hands on the soundtrack.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
