I really enjoyed seeing the cast having such fun, especially Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan. Meryl can actually sing, while Pierce seems even more real because he CAN'T sing! It made me feel free to join him! Of course there are no surprises; everyone knows the loose plot. It's just another rendition of a great music from ABBA. Gotta love it!

I loved the movie/songs/scenery! I thought Meryl Streep did a fantastic job singing! Only drawback to me was that Meryl & friends might have been a touch too old to play this young girl's mother. If Meryl's charachter was 20 when she got pregnant with Sophie, then she should have been 40 now-and definetly is not. Other than that...rave reviews!

The movie is fantastic--not as good as the stage show but is fantastic--lots of laughs along the way. All the actors are great, however, for me I didn't feel the chemistry between Pierce and Meryl--I don't think the match quite fit, but they were still all great--and true Pierce isn't the "best" singer, he can still carry a tune and is not hard on the eyes EVER! Meryl has always had a nice singing voice--Colin Firth was a doll and has a real laugh out loud moment at the wedding! GO! You'll enjoy it for sure! :)

Absolutely delightful - well cast!!! I have seen the musical on-stage version twice and this was even more fun. Hard to get used to Pierce Broshnan singing though....But he was a delight. If you loved the stage version, you won't be disappointed - you'll just want to visit Greece!

This is a fun movie even if you have not seen the stage show. It is hampered by two problems -- one is that some of the singing is very weak. Pierce Brosnan has a very poor voice and that is a shame. The second is poor direction. The director is a first time director I think and it shows. But the obvious fun that the cast is having over shadows these problems.

Meryl Streep & ABBA? A winning combination. This is a good adaptation of the stage show. Meryl is amazing, when she belts out "The Winner Takes it All" I got goose bumps. It was an incredible scene. Amanda Seyfried has an incredible voice and is a great actress. The one negative is Pierce Brosnan's singing - he yells more than sings. This movie makes for a fun night out.

Took my best buds to a matinee for girls day out and we all came out smiling. All those talented folks, beautiful scenery, and sweet little story line--then the icing on the cake, Abba music. I loved the way Meryl Streep and Pearce Brosnan displayed their marvelous acting talents while singing--no "stop the acting and sing" moments. It was smooth, beautiful and all FUN!

The best thing about this movie is the Greek locale, which is beautiful and the Greek National Tourist Board should be thrilled. The music was over-amplified so that the weakness of the voices would not be so obvious. Even Meryl Streep, who was miscast, was bad - and that's saying something! And couldn't they have done something to help Pierce Brosnan's voice. Not sure what I expected but I was supremely disappointed.

What is there not to love! This movie is so much fun! Great songs, great dancing, great costumes and the beautiful Greek Islands as a backdrop!! Last night, I was able to see the great movie, Mamma Mia! I have never seen the broadway show, but I have heard that it is absolutely wonderful as well. If it is anything like the movie, I know that I wound enjoy it. The Characters are all lovable and hilarious. the movie was very entertaining and made me want to get up and sing and dance with Meryl Streep and Amanda Seyfried! I bought the soundtrack about a week ago and loved that. I couldn't wait to see the movie when it finally came out! I would definitely recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys a good laugh, a fun musical, a happy ending and a wonderful film that you will never forget!

This is the best movie I have seen in a very long time. It was funny and lighthearted. The singing and dancing were wonderful. I couldn't keep my feet still and I sang along too. I brought my mom to see this movie and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. Yes, the singing wasn't the greatest...but I hear worse on the radio stations daily by so-called "professional" singers. The cast did a great job and looked like they had a magnificant time making this. The fun certainly translated through the screen. A wonderful way to spend 2 hours. I would recommend anyone looking for a "feel good" movie to go.

Just got home from seeing Mamma Mia. On the way home, I called every woman I know and told them that THIS is the movie to see this summer. I promise you, that your sides will ache from laughing by the time the movie is done. If they aren't aching, you need to have a friend check for a pulse. Meryl can sing! And she looks like she is loving it. Pierce can't carry a tune in a bucket and he is still perfect for this role because he also looks like he is having a fantastic time and loving every minute. You will be SO SORRY if you miss it!

For anyone that wants a great upbeat time where people don't look at you strange if you start singing along (because they are all doing it too).....see this film. To hear Meryl sing....who know she has such a great voice - see the film. For the wonderful acting, beautiful location scenery and everything else.......this is the movie for you. Highly recommended to all. Awesome change from all the cr- ap- py remakes that are being thown out there. We loved it!

i love the story and the show. the music is great and the acting as well. i was generally let down by the singing. sorry pierce, you can't sing! and mrs. streep, well you weren't the best singer, but you pulled through, you won my vote. of course any movie with her in it is great.

I have always loved ABBA music, and this movie was absolutely fantastic. I will be seeing it again and again. I had such fun. It is so entertaining for all ages. Singing, dancing and laughter - what more could you ask for. A great tourism advert for Greece too, it looks beautiful. Everyone in the audience at the movies was laughing and enjoying this movie as though they were in their own home, it was such a fun movie.
