If you are looking for this movie to be equal to or even better than the first movie, forget it. No where near it. Being a huge X-Files fan, I was happy to see the Mulder/Scully characters but completely disappointed in the storyline. I felt like this was one of the tv shows that didn't make it when the series was on and just written to add their lives post FBI. Chris Carter could have turned this story around and I believe if he really thought it through, could have made this a blockbuster. But it isn't. I left the theater ticked off this afternoon.
For anyone that wants a great upbeat time where people don't look at you strange if you start singing along (because they are all doing it too).....see this film. To hear Meryl sing....who know she has such a great voice - see the film. For the wonderful acting, beautiful location scenery and everything else.......this is the movie for you. Highly recommended to all. Awesome change from all the cr- ap- py remakes that are being thown out there. We loved it!
I was looking forward to this ever since it was first announced. I loved that they brought back Karen Allen and bringing Shia Labeouf into the mix was brilliant. The action was very good (people please remember that Indy is 20 years older so be nice) and I must admit, Harrison still looks wonderful in his Indy gear. The storyline was great up until a certain point towards the end. I know there is always some form of supernatural but it was a little out of sync for the IJ stories. If you go to see it, I'm sure you will know what part before the final scene I'm referring to. Other than that, if you do what we did, watch all three (yet again) and then go see the movie, I think you will enjoy it even more.
