I'm a huge Christian Bale fan so I'm already predisposed to like any movie he's in. The Dark Knight was amazing -- heart pounding and exciting from beginning to end. My only disappointment was the major plot point (I won't ruin the movie for others). Heath Ledger is indescribably good and that makes his death that much more of a loss - what an amazing career this young man had ahead of him. One of the great summer blockbusters!!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

The best thing about this movie is the Greek locale, which is beautiful and the Greek National Tourist Board should be thrilled. The music was over-amplified so that the weakness of the voices would not be so obvious. Even Meryl Streep, who was miscast, was bad - and that's saying something! And couldn't they have done something to help Pierce Brosnan's voice. Not sure what I expected but I was supremely disappointed.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
