I found this movie to be fast paced, fun, very entertaining and worth the ticket. I really enjoyed it and would be willing to see it again.
Some complained that this movie wasn't like the book. I have not read the book(s), didn't know this was even based on a book and don't care. No movie can ever do a book total justice since movies are limited to 1.5 or 2 hours....doesn't matter, I enjoyed it!
Why people review a movie without having seen it (such as movieballer388) is beyond me. If you haven't seen it, your review isn't the least bit helpful.
Definitely a good movie to see. Heath Ledger was fantasitc as the Joker...edgy, wickedly evil and slimy enough to make your skin crawl. Christian Bale is wonderful as Batman, a man conflcted between fighting evil and wanting a normal life like everyone else. As always, seasoned actors Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman are terrific. The movie starts with a bang and the action continues right to the end.
If you love musicals and having a great time, you wil enjoy Mama Mia. I had no idea that Meryl Streep could sing! She is a delight in this movie and I have never been a fan. She blew me away! A great movie with lots of laughs. Go and have a great time!
After a slow start, this movie exploded into non-stop action. The special effects were incredible and the movie will keep you on the edge of your seat till the end. Definitely worth seeing...especially if you love action movies.
This was a very entertaining, edge of your seat movie based on a scary premise. Just the possibility of this happening makes the movie frightening. Fortunately, no one can really hide forever in computer land..there are always ways to be tracked down. The time passes quickly when viewing this movie and it can lead to some interesting discussions on how terrifying the scenario would be if based in fact.
This is a vey funny, entertaining movie for all ages. Having grown up with the Chipmunks, I was intrigued by the previews for this film and decided to check it out. As an adult, I enjoyed it every bit as much as the children who were in the theatre at the same time. The chipmunks are so cute and will keep you laughing.
If you are in the mood for some light fair, need to brighten your day or pick up your spirits, this is the movie to see. There isn't any way you can be sad after seeing this movie. It is truly one to just enjoy!
It is a sad and well-known fact that most sequels disappoint. They just can't reach the potential of the original movie and, since people are expecting the sequel to be as good as the original, they often have expectations that are too high.
However, this movie does meet the expectations left by the original movie. It is just as fast-paced, exciting and energetic. The original stars reprise their roles so there is no disappointment of a character that doesn't live up to his/her part.
Due to the events of the movie, you are left with the possibility that National Treasure will be a trilogy. I, for one, look forward to that possibility...especially if all the main cast members return.
Johnny Depp has a way of making a role his own and making it totally believable. He does not disappoint in this film and you will feel his pain and anguish over the events of his life....a life that should have been happy but, due to the envy and lust of another, turns tragic.
Helena Bonham Carter is wonderful as Mrs. Lovett, a woman who has always loved Sweeney. Alan Rickman and Timothy Spall are both creepily wicked...making you shudder in repulsiveness at the roles they play because they are so believable!
This is definitely not a movie for children due to the dark nature, blood and violence but is a must see for any older teen or adult who loves a good movie. It is also not a good movie for anyone who is the slightest bit squeamish about blood as blood is one of the major "characters" of this movie.
I love the movie and have seen it twice. I am sure I will see it a time or two more yet. I will definitely buy the dvd when it comes out!
