We thoroughly enjoyed this movie rendition of the fantastic Broadway play which we saw in 2003 . . . and the scenery in the Greek Islands was certainly easy on the eyes. Treat yourself nice -- go see it!!!

Wonderful movie, wonderful cast. A great feel-good movie. I was unconvinced by a movie version of a musical, but curiosity (and the casting of Pierce Brosnan and Colin Firth and, of course, Meryl Streep) got the best of me. Am I ever glad I went! I hadn't seen a movie that made me feel so good in a very long time. The music is awesome (not all of it greatly sung, but....). I will today go shopping for old ABBA albums! This is a must-see movie for anyone over 35!

I have seen the musical many times and couldn't wait to see the movie when I heard about it. As mentioned in previous reviews, it fills in the gaps for the things that are not in the show. I enjoyed the movie and would see it again! You can never get enough of ABBA! I would recommend it to others.

Judging by the first several minutes of the movie, I thought it was going to be pretty lame, but by the end of the movie, it was great. The story was fresh and mostly believable. The acting was mostly good. The one low was Pierce Brosnan's singing. The songs and the relationships will bring back many memories to those who were starting their adult lives in the 70's and 80's. Stay for a the cast having fun with a couple of good songs after the movie ends.

Well done overall, fun music, and great story. A couple of actors didn't have a good voice at all (Brosnan esp.) but most were really pretty good, and the story was quite funny. Unusual to pull that off with a musical.

. . . you'll really enjoy this movie. The music and dancing will get your toes tapping. There are plenty of laughs (and Pierce Brosnan shouldn't give up his day job!). The story line is a bit corny. Upbeat, funny and heartwarming! Meryl Streep has a beautiful voice - WOW! A real surprise to hear Pierce Brosnan sing, too and what a great job he does as well. An all around great cast and just a lot of fun to watch. Saw the play on Broadway a few years ago and this almost matches the wonderful experience of that.

I was terribly afraid that this was one of those movies where the best parts are in the trailer and the rest is junk. NO WAY! I laughed to the point of tears rolling down my face in enjoyment! Our family ranged from 10 yrs old to 65 yrs old. We all love it! The songs were appropriate for the act. Well put together! I'm not much into musicals but can not wait until I see it again! It left me feeling really happy and I sang the tunes in my head for the rest of the day!

I was thoroughly entertained. I wasn't sure what to expect of a movie made from musical theater made from music. I loved it, my husband loved it. My son's girlfriend who saw it with her mother loved it. It was fun. The nearly full theater clapped when it ended. We laughed and walked out of the theater with huge smiles on our faces. I had tears-I'm not sure if they were from laughing or from the poignancy. Parts were predictable and parts surprising. It didn't matter; we were having a good time. Isn't that the purpose of summer movies? I wanted to sing along-but knew better with my voice. Some of the filming, especially the top views, allowed the musical numbers to shine like they can't in a theater. I loved the hippie Meryl Streep; Amanda Seyfried could be her daughter and Walters, Baranski and the rest of the cast were just right. I could see it again and probably will-just for fun.

Meryl Streep can do everything! I was amazed. I really had very little interest in seeing this movie and only went to see it as something to do. But I was pleasantly surprised and really liked it!
