I couldn't agree more with the previous review. Ford is getting a little old, but still unbelievably handsome, Karen was fabulous. I loved the references to the previous movies. I wasn't thrilled with the casting of Mutt, but he was okay. I doubt he can carry on the movie line, if that is what they are thinking. #1 IJ is still the best, but this was a really good wrap-up. The climax was a little out there, but right in keeping with all the Indy movies. No Oscar winner, but definitely an enjoyable 2 hours.

Classic Indiana Jones. You know what your expecting (if you've seen the previous three) when you go see this movie and it delivers. Lots of action, special effects and adventure. Harrison Ford is great, Shia Lebeauf is great as the new side kick and Cate Blanchett does a great job as the villain.
All and all good fun!

The movie was entertaining. Some scenes were a little over the top. There was the scene where the character played by Shia is following the rest of group by flying through the air like Tarzan. But overall it wasa good piece of entertainment, helping to forget all that is happening around us.

Karen Allen and Harrison Ford together again makes for another great movie for the Indiana series. Harrison looks great even after 20 years. He is amazing to watch. The story is a bit odd for an Indiana film but it is great fun. See if you can catch Area 21 and hints from the first movie. The storyline was good but did have a few holes in it. One storyline that started the movie just disappeared halfway into the film. Shia is a growing actor and does a great young Indiana with major stunts and fight sequences. Cate Blanchett is amazing as a short black haired KGB agent. The characters are believable. The ending was a bit on the strange side but still enjoyable. This movie is well worth the money. I would recommend the big screen/theater. I don't think a DVD would do justice to this movie. The action is intense and exciting.

Indiana Jones meets the X-Files. This movie was a good way to coninue the franchise (or possibly re-invent it with the addition of Shia LaBeouf). Great special effects. In my opinion though, it didn't top Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

Okay, we saw the end of the Harrison Ford involvement in the life of Indiana Jones and this saga. And we all saw the symbolic handing of the torch (the fedora) to the young Jr., but wait, James Bond never handed his martini glass to the next actor? Why so obvious George and Stephen? OH, that is right, you are into symbolism, like the fact that the telephone pole looks like a cross when we see nuns in the lower right of the screen, and there are 13 in a row... like at the last supper. And short of accusing them of using the sky from the War of The Worlds and the launch sequence from Close Encounters... this was an original movie, of sorts. I liked it. I didn't love it, but if you are going to go out on a WHAT IF note Mr. Ford, you picked a good one. Joseph Campbell would be proud, but in the end, who are those crystal meth heads anyway? Are they coming back? How long will it be before they come back? Surely not 18 years. It is a good movie; just don't take a critic or a real Jones cultist, for they will sure doubt its quality. It is just a good movie with comfortable characters. The thrills are worth the price. Go see it. dd

Okay, it's Indiana Jones. You know is going to have its cheesy moments, and silly quips before you even get there. That being said, the movie was a lot of fun. Harrison Ford still maintained the Indy image, no matter the age. The supporting actors were good too, except I thought Blanchett was a little strained with her accent. there were a couple of times in the movie when my friends and i looked at each other like "huh?" when some alien references came around. But all in all, its a feel good movie, and it did just that... made me feel good and smile. Definitely worth seeing.

I enoyed the movie and the addition of a son to the series. Leaves the door open for future action movies with Harrison Ford playing a less active role and developing the son into the main character. My 7 year old grandson watched the movie with me and really enjoyed all the action too.

This is the most fun I have had at a movie in a long time. Who cares if Harrison Ford is 65 years old. It was a joy to see Karen Allen as Marion again as well. It is nice to be able to take your kids to a movie and not be embarassed over the language or nudity.

The movie was great and action packed. Harrison Ford and Karen Allen reuniting made this movie better. They still have the chemistry from the original movie. I've got to say that one of the great things about these movies has always been the strength of the support actors/actresses. This movie suffered from weak supporting roles and predictable writing. While some of that is expected, come on, let me be a little bit entertained.
While everyone was excited about the reappearance of Karen Allen I have to tell you, she didn't knock my socks off.
Shia LaBeouf's efforts paled in comparison to even that of the child actors in the early films. While I applaud his agent for getting him into the movie, it unfortunately isn't his breakthrough role into serious adult acting. Try again Shia, maybe next time your biggest props won't be switch blades and combs.
Overall the plot was predictable, weak in suspense and sadly disappointing. Wait for the DVD release and save your money.

My kids are crazy for Indiana Jones and the movie did not disappoint. They stayed true to the formula that made Indiana Jones Great! I remember being mesmerized by the movie at 10 and I really enjoyed seeing it with my 8 year olds!

I was getting so tired of movies with horrible, depressing or ambiguous endings, and movies that were so "arty " or "socially meaningful" that they were completely incomprehensible, that a good, fun, wild adventure was just what I needed. This movie is relatively comparable to the other Inidana Jones movies, Indy slightly lacks the energy he had in his younger days. The film is still entertaining to watch though. It's great how the film delves into the history of the Mayan calender in relation to the crystal skulls.

Acting was a bit stilted in the beginning, but things did pick up and by the end of the film I wanted to see it again. When it comes out on DVD, I will absolutely add it to my library so that I can watch it again.

Indiana Jones is still great! Indy may be older, but he is also wiser, and lack of courage has never been one of his problems (except for the snake-thing!). My only question is, will he ever find Excalibur or the missing Peking Man fossils? Indy #5?????

this movie was a great followup to the swashbuckling indie movies of the past while accounting for the passage of time (e.g. he could not make a jump he would have as a younger man). go and enjoy it if you enjoyed the others

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. I'd stayed away from reading the reviews, so I had no 'spoilers'. I simply sat down and was treated to 2 hours of Indy - just as I remembered him. And what a suprise to see Marion again! Her smile and radiance, and the chemistry between her and Indy, was like old times. Of course this is the kind of movie where I had to suspend my disbelief at times, but it was truly a joy to see. It was great to hear *that* music again, and re-meet my 'old friends'. If you have seen the previous Indiana Jones movies, I believe that you will be delighted with this one.
