Time takes its toll on everyone but Harrison Ford/Indiana Jones doesn't try to hide it or let that get in his way in The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Indi is back with the expected camaraderie, laughter, action/adventure and creepy crawlers. Plus with Shia LeBeouf/Mutt Williams taking on the look of a young Marlon Brando - I kept my eyes on the screen at all times! It was everything I expected it to be and more - well worth the time and money to see!!

The "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" was the most contrived, most ostentatious pile of refuse I have ever encountered. I would sooner call a smattering of words and a series of facile convulsions "cinema" than this latest schizophrenic offering from Lucasfilm. If you yearn for a film wherein 99% of the scenes, props, wildlife, and stunts are computer generated, you would be better off attending a Pixar flick instead (the dialogue is sure to be more involving). Fans of the franchise beware: this was not Indiana Jones; this was X-Files meets Scooby Doo.

I have to warn people before they go see this movie to go do there homework on the crystal skulls. There are a lot of "far out" themes in relation to the paranormal in this movie that some people may not, or chose not to understand. All you have to do is google search crystal skulls, learn about them, then go see the movie. Other than the paranormal themes that may not agree with people; this movie is classic Inidana Jones. There is the rediculous stunts, the unbeleivable scenerios, and the slap stick humor we all know and love. Speilburg and Lucas really did a great job of keeping the adventure alive.

Indy has definitely still got it! Shia Leboef's Mutt apparently has it too :) My daughter & I loved this film. She'd only recently seen the orig so it was lots of fun! The blend of old and new was deftly presented - and bringing back a blast from his past was a great bit. It brought some playful warm fuzzies and sparring -very cute, very Indy. NOT a warmed over, banal sequel - it had a really interesting plot and armchair archaeologists will love the bits of antiquity thrown in throughout. Action scenes were lively (NOT too long) and Cate's Russian brainiac was perfectly in keeping with charismatic worthy foes. Bottom Line -Go see it! If you haven't seen any Indiana Jones films previously, you might want to rent the first one to acquaint you with things, but it does stand alone if you can't wait. Might not be the best for under 11-12.

Not nearly as good as the others. It's hard to recreate the excitement of the others. Seemed to try to fill up movie with special effects and fight scenes in lieu of character development. Still worth watching, but will wait for DVD to see again.

The movie starts out in normal indie style with indiana in a situation, from there the action is literally non stop. That is my main complaint. The action doesn't let up enough to take a breath and relax throughout the entire movie. it goes from one action scene to another without pause. I did enjoy the movie, but left with a feeling that some of the transition scenes are still on the cutting room floor.

I went in with high expectations. Having seen the first 3, I expected this movie to at least match them. The movie is vintage Indy. I think the action lacked a little. The last Crusade had more punch. I feel they could have spent the $300 million for this movie a little more wisely. I love how the movie opened though. Welcome back Mr. Jones!!

I was dissapointed. I went to the midnight showing expecting the dynamic duo of Lucas and Ford to blow me away and I barely felt a breeze. The special effects were hokey in spots and the story line was old and tired. Very predictable. Even the film quality in some spots looked bad. Like a deleted scene that got thrown back in last minute. I was bored in some spots, fighting falling asleep in others. I was mad I stayed up til 2:30 to watch it.

If you are a Indiana Jones fan this movie is for you however the writer and director may have tried slightly to hard to make jokes from the older movies. This movie adds many stunts that wouldn't be believable which takes away from the originals.

This is one of the worst movies I have ever slept through. I thought National Treasure was witless but its dialogue is Shakespearean compared to this tripe. How many times did the writers force Harrison Ford to state--"I have a bad feeling about this" throughout the picture? Imagine another "Mummy" sequel minus any humor. I never thought Harrison Ford could be reduced to embarrassment in an Indiana Jones film but Lucas and Spielberg have done exactly that. After this film, reruns of "The Nanny" will seem hilarious. Do yourself a favor and stay home and watch "Raiders" again to remember a time when action and wit perfectly meshed.

The story line and special effects were TOO much! I LOVED the previous movies; they had the perfect balance of special effects (as bad as some were) and great story lines (believable for the most part). On the up side, Harrison looked better than expected (especially when he was clean shaven) and Shia...well my daughter would love nothing more than to see him as a young Indiana Jones in the near future.

Ok, I was like any other 'red-blooded' American waiting for this movie to come out...and with that sort of build up and anticipation one tends to go into the movie with preconcieved ideas. I had watched a special on 'Crystal Skulls' prior to the movie for background sake, but did not attempt to 'figure it out' Indiana (Harrison Ford) was GREAT and I believe could watch his movies (not Witness) over and over again. He pulls this off like no other could! I was saddened by the lack of Marcus Brody and Henry Jones Sr but we all must move on! Mutt Williams (Shia LeBeouf) was also fantastic in this movie. His opening scene riding the classic Harley was very cool...almost James Dean'ish', but the fact of Shia playing a rough and tumble knife weilding 'greaser' from the 50's is a bit of a stretch. But overall, i thought he held his own alongside one of the best leading men in Hollywood. Plot -- a bit thin in places but kept in touch with the "Indiana Jones' roots of one clue leading to another. I thought the opening scenes were good, but i will have to admit the finale was a bit lacking in my opinion... with all this buildup that is all they could come up with... I expect better out of Lucas and Speilberg. Overall assesment of the movie... A totally and thoroughly enjoyable movie for the ENTIRE family, but falls short of Last Crusade!

I found this movie desperatly lacking what makes Indiana Jones the "McGyver of Archeology" in this movie. Trying to pull the old characters back into this movie after all this time was a big mistake. This movie takes adventure beyond the limits of ridiculous. I don't know how many shots were fired and nobody got shot. It had the feel of one of those bad movies made after a video game or in this case, a disney ride. George and Steven should not be allowed to work together anymore. I have to say the worst part of the movie is when shia swings from the trees like tarzan. Give me a break!

I thought the movie rocked, mostly because of Shia LaBeouf. Mutt Williams was a cutie, but I think he could have been a total cardboard cutout without Shia's acting ability. Shia's tears and great line deliveries beefed up a pretty flat-as-written role. I really hope Mutt Williams ends up being popular enough with the fans to carry on his own franchise (hopefully with Indy at least playing a sort of Sean Connery role). Harrison Ford did a nice job as Indy, too. He was a much softer character, but you can blame the scriptwriters for that, and I actually kind of liked it. I didn't find it entirely believable, though, that he'd just settle down with Marion so fast and that he, Marion and Mutt would become an insta-family. I liked it, and I thought it was an interesting twist that they didn't do the cliched "we can't stand each other until the very end!" bit, but I wish the writers had made it a bit more believable. I do think the main storyline was a bit strange, but it never lost me. For the record, Last Crusade is still my favorite, but this is now my second favorite (then Raiders). Looking forward to more Indy flicks!

Yes it's been almost 20 years since Indiana Jones was on-screen and you know what -- it has been almost that long since I saw a good movie! Very poor production. The sets were way to fake. At least film IN the desert next time people, not on a poorly built sound stage. And whats with the bad one-liners? The plot line is way too Sci-Fi. The sound effects need to be updated. This needs to be the last Indiana Jones. I will not be purchasing the DVD on this one.

I was impressed with how the overall look of the movie held true to the originals. The movie captured that raw quality that is embodied by the other films. Loved it very much!

Well after nearly 20 years, they made a new Indiana Jones movie. Was it a good movie? Yes. Was it a Good Indiana Jones Movie? Not really. The movie delved too deeply into politics, sci-fi and paranormal. Where the previous movies had been primarily spiritually based, dealing with artifacts of gods, crystal Skull tries to more into the Sci-fi conspiracy aspect which I feel is out of place in the Indiana Jones line. That aside, the movie was well written with some outstanding action scenes and good acting. Shia LeBeouf played a greaser like it was a natural outtake, while Karen Allen played Jones former Love interest with a strength that only a mother can have. Ford did a good job playing a now aging Jones, who has survived the War, become a war hero, and is now becoming increasingly concerned with the "Red Paranoia" that is gripping the government even more so when suspicions are levied against him of being a Communist Spy.

This movie was very entertaining overall but i was very disappointed towards the end. The first hour and a half- great lines, great acting, great action, classic Indiana Jones. Everything I hoped for was being fufilled and then the movie dropped off substantially for me in so many ways. The action scenes become way too far fetched for reality and the plot line really just goes south. The aliens were just a little too much for me. But all in all a good film although it could have been great. Shia LaBeouf did a good job acting and the special effects were spectacular.

This movie was a typical Indy style movie. I have heard people talk about bad acting and other things that do not apply to a completely ENTERTAINING MOVIE! This movie had me entertained and laughing through the entire 2 hours!! THIS IS WHAT I CAME FOR AND I GOT WHAT I WANTED!!! GREAT MOVIE!

Knowing that it had been 18 years since an Indy film, I lowered my expectations of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Remarkably, my expectations were still set way too high. Aside from the 2 to 3 decent one-liners, this movie only offered disappointment. I am not a harsh critic of movies but this disaster of a film and soiling of the Indiana Jones franchise must be addressed. The first fifteen minutes of the movie held my hopes for a while. Shortly after, my hopes for a great movie turned to hopes for some miracle to turn around the film; no miracle came. My fears were realized when the conclusion of the plot was reached in the last twenty minutes. I would NOT recommend this movie to anyone who is hoping for anything above a 3 stars out of 10, at best. I only paid $5 for this movie and I think I may have paid too much for this one. Definitely a renter.

I had a bit of trepidation about viewing this film. Consider my fears unfounded! I felt the same enjoyment I remembered from my childhood while watching the first three installments. Watching the face of my daughter as she reveled in the film told me the Indiana Jones franchise is alive and well! Kudos on a very worthy sequel.

Good movie, not GREAT...but very decent. Odd in many ways...you can tell George Lucas had his hand in this pot...some of the visual elements and story line are...well odd. I even thought some of the special effects were 'lacking'. Good humored overall but uneven. I recommend the movie but this movie will not be on my yearly top 10 list :)
