Indy is getting a little long in the tooth but he's still got it. Harrison Ford acts his age but in great shape for his age. Shia LeBeouf fits right in with his f'amily' tree; Sean Connery and Harrison Ford. He can easily carry the 'Indy' attraction into the next generation. Kate Blanchett's return to the series is refreshing and wonderful. Indy cannot resist her and neither can the viewer.
Lots of action, the bad guys are real bad -- even the girl. The good guys are good but not too good (wink wink).
Special effects? ILM does it again!

A fun, mindless experience... about a half hour too long. Some creative scenarios... otherwise the usual flufffy stuff. Good to see Harrison Ford still kicking. Though I like Karen Allen a lot but she wasn't right for her role. Looked more like your average housewife. He should have had an affair with Kate Blanchett. That's what old guys like me like to see. :-) 4 stars - a senior citizens delight!

fun movie to watch. i like that they relied more on people doing the stunts than animation. didn't like that the movie "went there" in the end - that worked in raiders, but we've seen this before, George. lacked character - the main villians in the first movies had defined characters and the supporting enemies had unique quirks; these were monolithic and unconvincing. it would've been more interesting if they made indy's character "act his age" and direct or change the course of the action than take part in it. instead of romping around and getting beat up like he was 30. no, that's not an age joke. also, the biggest thing about indy was that he constantly FAILED at everything he tried to do. but not here.

We took our 4 year old son and 11 year daughter to this one and both were on the edges of thier seats. Thankfully we spent the weekend prior watching the previous movies so they knew the whole story line!!! The action was great and the thoughts of more being made for a new generation excited all of us... it was a perfect family movie and we will be waiting for it to cme out on DVD to add to our collection!!!!

As usual, Lucas & Spielberg pull off a winner with awesome stunts, special effects and credible characters. That is, of course, if you believe that 60+ guys can win fist fights with big strong Russians in their 30's. I enjoyed it but I can see why my teenage sons found it a little "slow-paced". Heres hoping the "Mutt" character will take over the series and let pops retire for good.

I liked this movie better than some of the sequels, it compared to the first one. I do not understand anyone not liking it, it supposed to be entertainment, not a documentary about archeology. It continues a story that spans 20 or so years of a fictional hero's life and historical eras, playing on the events and themes of the eras. This was a movie reminicent of the first. Full of action and bad guys. From the first frame to the last this reminded me of the Raiders of the Lost Ark.
I enjoyed the wrap in of previous characters and movies that this one had and I don't want to write about the plot line in case the person reading it hasn't seen it.
It's worth watching that is for sure and entertaining. I personally thought some of the plot items were too far fetched even for an Indiana Jones movie, but if you're going to go out...go out big.

This movie, to both my spouse and I, was easily the weakest Indiana Jones movie. The obligatory action/chase scenes were as always well done but the plot itself was weak and there were many unexplained loose ends and "jumps" in logic that didn't flow well. Other reviews trashing this movie are based on their overly high expectations. If you go in with no expectations this movie is entertaining. It is not as good as the other three movies, but does not deserve 1 star... It is a B to B- movie... its worth going to the matinee if you can. The stunts weren't that unbelievable... and it did lack some of that Indy feel where he figures out a lot of traps etc... Overall a Fair movie. I did not feel six dollars was wasted seeing this movie.

The story line is in keeping with the series, but being an adventure movie fan, I would have enjoyed more of the son carrying the torch for future film possibilities.

I thought the beginning was slow and drawn out, but quickly improved once a mission was set in place. The action was typical Indiana Jones, which kept our interest and at times on the edge of our seats. The story line definitely could have done without the romance revisited, which would have cut the movie down by probably 20 minutes or so.
