They took one of my all-time favorite books and literally destroyed it with this ponderous boring reductive version of a great story.
Almost unwatchable.

Disappointed and bored

Very disappointed in this movie. Hoover in real life was a very controversial figure whose views and tactics are in retrospect somewhat questionable. This movie seemed to gloss over that, and barely touched on his personal quirks that have been widely rumored.
My wife and I both fell asleep within minutes and kept falling asleep again when we again tried to watch this movie.
Ugh--this movie will rapidly lose whatever buzz it had, rapidly.

Russell Brand is always funny and entertaining but even he couldn't save this horrible script and otherwise lame acting. Very disappointing. Waste of time and money.

This movie, to both my spouse and I, was easily the weakest Indiana Jones movie. The obligatory action/chase scenes were as always well done but the plot itself was weak and there were many unexplained loose ends and "jumps" in logic that didn't flow well. Many things just caused us to say, "What?"
We felt this movie was mediocre at best. Hopefully they stop here.
