fun but lacks real charm

fun movie to watch. i like that they relied more on people doing the stunts than animation. didn't like that the movie "went there" in the end - that worked in raiders, but we've seen this before, George. lacked character - the main villians in the first movies had defined characters and the supporting enemies had unique quirks; these were monolithic and unconvincing. it would've been more interesting if they made indy's character "act his age" and direct or change the course of the action than take part in it. instead of romping around and getting beat up like he was 30. no, that's not an age joke. also, the biggest thing about indy was that he constantly FAILED at everything he tried to do. but not here.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
